The Gunners have not won a trophy since 2005, when Henry was still at the club, and last week’s league defeat at Stoke City has left Wenger’s squad as outsiders in the race for this season’s Premier League title.
But in an interview with the BBC’s Football Focus, Henry praised the French tactician and warned fans: ‘You never know who is going to come after’.
The legendary striker also highlighted the injury to Aaron Ramsey as a factor in Arsenal’s recent struggles but said Wenger’s critics were ‘jumping on the bandwagon’.
Henry, now 36, may not have played for the club since 2007 but he still affectionately referred to the Gunners as ‘we’ and clearly remains a huge fan.
