Atletico Madrid vs AC Milan: Champions League Predicted Line Ups

Predicted line ups for the Champions League clash between Atletico Madrid and Milan.

With Atletico already a goal up they will be looking to stifle Milan’s attack and protect their lead to land a spot in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Atletico Madrid:

GK: Thibaut Courtois

The on loan Chelsea man is now the club’s undisputed number one and will continue in between the sticks for the visit of Milan.

DF: Juanfran

The recent Spanish international will look to build on his already impressive campaign by adding some European silverware to his collection.

DF: Diego Godin

The Uruguayan has been at his uncompromising best this term and will be charged with keeping Mario Balotelli quiet.

DF: Miranda

Brazilian star to continue his partnership with Godin.

DF: Felipe Luis

His runs up and down the left will be vital to Atletico’s style of play and will be expected to cause Milan all manner of problems.

MF: Koke

Will be expected to provide the front line with the ammunition to put the tie to bed.

MF: Mario Suarez

Will take over from the injured Tiago in front of the defence.

MF: Gabi

The skipper will be leading by example to push the Spaniards over the line.

MF: Raul Garcia

Will complete the midfield four.

ST: Diego Costa

The goalscorer from the first leg, will be looking for another one.

ST: David Villa

The veteran will be hoping to put his recent injuries behind him.

Milan

GK: Christian Abiatti

The Veteran has been shaky recently, will look to do much better this time around.

DF: Cristian Zapata

The Colombian has been one of Milan’s better players this term, and they will look to him to pull out the stops once again.

DF: Adil Rami

Loanee has made a strong start to life at the San Siro, worthy of his place.

DF: Philippe Mexes

Frenchman back in the squad after some less than impressive performances this term.

DF: Mattia De Sciglio

Young full-back has found it tough to grow in this current Milan side.

MF: Nigel De Jong

The combative Dutchman will likely sit at the base of a midfield diamond.

MF: Adel Taarabt

Continuing to impress whilst on loan from QPR, he will want to add some much needed spark into the middle.

MF: Michael Essien

Milan will need all of his wily experience to navigate through to the next round.

MF: Kaka

Will he be praying for divine intervention, or just a half decent scoring chance from just behind the strikers?

ST: Mario Balotelli

Super Mario will need to be on his best behaviour as well as his best form.

ST: Giampaolo Pazzini

Will take the place of the injured El Shawaary.
