Leighton Baines – Everton

Boss David Moyes tried desperately to bring his former employee to his new club last summer, but to no avail. The Toffees have done well to fend of United’s interest, often pricing him out of a move, but with the Scot set to be handed a substantial transfer kitty at the end of the season then the financial aspect may no longer be a problem.

His style of play will directly benefit Moyes’ crossing game, and he would add another viable option from dead ball situations.

Alberto Moreno – Sevilla

The young Spaniard has been highly sought after this season following his breakthrough into the Sevilla first team back in 2012. He has been a regular for the side this term, helping them to punch above their weight after loosing a large portion of their main talent over the summer.

He has also been a consistent feature in the Spanish under-21 side and has just recently made the step up into the senior squad, suggesting that Vicente Del Bosque sees him as a player to put pressure on Barcelona’s Jordi Alba in front of him. He would be ready to slot straight into United’s first team, while still being at the right age to develop into a world class player.

Lucas Digne – Paris Saint Germain

Digne has been touted to be one of the bight sparks of the French game, but has found life in the capital city difficult this term with regular playing time not coming as regularly as it had done whilst he was at Lille. With only nine appearances under his belt his development has suffered, and it now looks unlikely that he’ll add to his solitary France cap in time for the World Cup in June.

He would be good enough to slot straight in to the Old Trafford line up as he has already shown he has the necessary qualities to perform regularly at the highest level, but he would cost the club a considerable amount if they do decide to push a move through.

Fabio Coentrao – Real Madrid

The Portuguese international has long been tipped to make an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu, but the club have kept a hold of him. However, should he make his long awaited exit this summer, he can rest assured that he wouldn’t just be playing a bit-part role with the Red Devils as he has enough quality about him to command a place and cement it as his own.

He manages to balance his attacking and defensive duties perfectly, and would be an asset to any side in the top flight.

Luke Shaw – Southampton

The teenager has become the club’s most sought after talent this year in a squad that is already massively talented. His recent breakthrough into the England side has only served to highlight how impressive he’s been this season, and the Saints have foreseen the potential bidding war for his signature by slapping a £30m price tags on his head.

However, United will have the money, and in Shaw they would be signing a player that could quite comfortably make the left-back slot his own for the next 10-15 years.
