Luke Shaw (Southampton)

The rumours of late have suggested that Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers has now joined the race to land the hugely talented England international, despite the likes of mega-rich Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United both also known to be keen on landing the 18-year-old too.

However, the Northern Irishman is said to be confident of persuading the attacking full back that Anfield should be his next port of call, although the Reds know that they will need to stump up £30m in order to sign the starlet this summer, especially with Shaw currently contracted to St Mary’s until June 2018.

Ashley Cole (Chelsea)

The veteran England international is now no longer a part of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans at Stamford Bridge following the surprise emergence of Spain right-back Cesar Azpilicueta in west London this season, and with the 33-year-old more than likely to quit the Blues when his contract runs out at the end of June, Rodgers could do far worse than picking the player up on a lucrative Bosman-style free transfer for next season.

Alberto Moreno (Sevilla)

Most of Europe are now said to be keeping close tabs on Spain’s new left back, especially after the impressive campaign that the 21-year-old has produced to date for the Andalusians, meaning that the Premier League giants will most certainly face stiff competition for the left back’s signature come the end of the campaign.

However, if the Reds can somehow steal a march on all their rivals throughout the Continent, then the Spaniard is most definitely an answer to their long-running problem on the left-hand side of their back four, even at a probable cost of £18m.

Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur)

The Liverpool manager is a known admirer of the former England Under-21 international and has even tried to take the 23-year-old out on loan in the past, only for the north London club to reject their rivals’ advances.

However, with Spurs set to buy a new left back at the end of the campaign, the Northern Irishman will have a great opportunity to try again and lure the pacy full back to Anfield.

Guillerme Siqueira (Granada)

The Reds came desperately close to signing the 27-year-old last summer, only for the move to collapse over the transfer fee that his employers in Spain were demanding, but the Merseysiders should return with an improved offer for the Brazil-born full back this summer when his loan spell at Benfica comes to an end.
