Liverpool & Arsenal Set Go Head To Head In Battle To Land French Holding Midfielder

Frenchman very nearly moved to the Emirates last year.

Both Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal have been put on alert after it emerged that highly rated Rubin Kazan holding midfielder Yann M’Vila could be about to leave the Russian outfit at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The former France international only joined Rubin just over 12 months ago, with the defensive midfielder leaving Ligue 1 outfit Rennes for the Russians on a four-year deal for a fee of £9.6m in last year’s January transfer window.

However, following the arrival of new head coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov, the Frenchman has found himself now frozen out of the first-team picture at his new club, and with no real avenue back into the starting lineup either.

And as a result, it now appears more than likely that the 23-year-old will leave Rubin come the end of the campaign, with both the north London club and the Reds ready to pounce if such a situation does materialise.

So far this season, the player has managed to contribute just the four assists in total in his 30 matches in all competitions for Rubin.
