GK: David de Gea (Manchester United)

The young Spaniard has been one of the Premier League champions’ few stand-out performers so far in what has been a terribly disappointing campaign for the Red Devils, although it could have been far worse but for the reflexes of their shot stopper.

RB: Seamus Coleman (Everton)

Without a doubt, the best right back on current form in the entire Premier League, with a plethora of both goals and assists to go alongside his name for the Merseyside giants this season.

CB: Curtis Davies (Hull City)

What a brilliant buy the former England international has proved so far by Tigers boss Steve Bruce, with the tall and commanding centre back easily his side’s best player so far this campaign, as well as one of the best central defenders in the top flight.

LB: Luke Shaw (Southampton)

The newly capped England international has been the most impressive left back in the Premier League this season, constantly raiding down the left flank for the south-coast club, while rarely ever got the better of either at the back.

RM: Ross Barkley (Everton)

Another player from Goodison Park to have really caught the eye under new Toffees head coach Roberto Martinez in this campaign, so much so that now the young Englishman is on the verge og being selected in Roy Hodgson’s 23-man Three Lions squad for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

CM: Gareth Barry (Everton)

The veteran holding midfielder is proving to be an astute loan capture by Toffees boss Roberto Martinez, with the player having shone operating just in front of the Merseysiders’ back four at Goodison this season.

LM: Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

Goals, some truly spectacular, and assists from the former England Under-21 international in midfield for his struggling Premier League club this campaign, his best ever for Villa, including a sensational back-heeled winner against Chelsea earlier this month.

AM: Adam Lallana (Southampton)

The young Saints attacker has been so impressive this season that the playmaker has even won a first callup to the senior England squad, and perhaps now also a place on the plane to the 2014 World Cup with his country as a result.

ST: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Other than the best player in the Premier League this season, Luis Suarez, the England international is the only other front man to have managed to reached double figures in both goals and assists in the top flight this season.

ST: Loic Remy (Newcastle United)

The France international, who is spending a season-long loan spell at St James’ Park from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, has proved himself to be an international-standard striker with his goals in the north east this campaign.
