GK: Petr Cech (Chelsea)

Once again the experienced Czech Republic international has been the stand-out shot stopper in the Premier League this season, with barely a mistake against his name as part of the top flight’s meanest back four.

RB: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea)

The powerful Serb has been a rock-solid presence on the right-hand side of the west London club’s back line throughout this campaign, while the versatile defender is also a constant threat in the opposition penalty box too.

CB: John Terry (Chelsea)

The former England international skipper has been so imperious and domineering at the heart of the Blues’ defence this season that there have even been calls for the veteran to be recalled to the Three Lions lineup for this summer’s Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil.

CB: Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)

One dreads to think in just what position the north Londoners would be in at present in the Premier League had the vastly under-rated France international not be holding their porus back four in place throughout the campaign.

LB: Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

The versatile Englishman has been used on both a left and right back by Reds boss Brendan Rodgers such is his adaptability, with the 29-year-old a constant attacking menace whichever flank he is being asked to play on.

CM: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

What a brilliant season the ever-green England and Reds skipper is enjoying at present, with a plethora of goals, assists and driving displays from the centre of the park for the Merseyside giants.

CM: Yaya Toure (Manchester City)

Seventeen goals in total so far in just 28 Premier League games for the marauding Ivory Coast international, including some world-class long-range efforts too, make the former FC Barcelona star’s inclusion an absolute formality.

AM: David Silva (Manchester City)

Another eye-catching campaign for the diminutive Spain playmaker, with five goals and 10 assists in total in his 20 Premier League matches for the Blues.

ST: Luis Suarez (Liverpool)

The top scorer currently in the Premier League with 28 goals, and even then the Uruguay attacker still missed the first two months of the season through suspension.

AM: Eden Hazard ( Chelsea)

The Belgium international has pushed Suarez close in terms of the Player of the Year awards with his stunning displays on the left-hand side of the west Londoners’ front three.

ST: Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)

The Englishman’s match-winning strike against Sunderland at Anfield on Wednesday night took his tally in the Premier League up to 20, which is even more impressive when you consider that the striker missed two months of the season either side of Christmas with an ankle injury.
