Lamela was signed as a replacement for Gareth Bale, yet the youngster has failed to live up to the billing so far and has been tipped to make a return to his former club at the soonest opportunity. However, Roma have maintained silence on the matter.
Fabio Coentrao – Real Madrid to Manchester United
The Portuguese international has been given the green light to leave the Galacticos this summer and with United in need of new defensive reinforcements a move to Old Trafford in almost nailed on.
Adil Rami – Valencia to Tottenham Hotspur
AC Milan have opted against making the Frenchman’s deal a permanent one this summer and with no way back to Valencia he will be all set for a switch to the Premier League and Spurs will be in pole position as they face losing Jan Vertonghen.
Romelu Lukaku – Chelsea to Everton
Jose Mourinho is keen to reshuffle the pack this summer, and the young Belgian has found himself on the chopping block. Everton are keen to keep hold of him, but a £25m price tag could prove a step too far for the Toffees.
Mathieu Valbuena – Marseille to Liverpool
The France international has already stated his intention to leave the struggling Ligue 1 side at the end of the season, and long time admirers Liverpool look all set to make a swoop before anyone else gets the chance.
Dani Alves – Barcelona to Manchester City
The Brazilian has found his place in the starting XI under threat this term. City have been linked as favourites, but with Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes leaving in the summer losing Alves might be a step to far for the Spanish champions.
Toni Kroos – Bayern Munich to Manchester United
Kroos has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but both he and the club have played down the rumour over the course of the season. However, if United make it into Europe then a switch could very well be on the cards.
Patrice Evra – Manchester united to Inter Milan
The veteran full-back has yet to be offered a new deal to stay with United, and has been tipped to make a return to France. However, Inter Milan are rumoured to want to reunite him with Nemanja Vidic, an idea that Evra has not put the breakers on.
Julian Draxler – Schalke to Arsenal
Either way the saga is set to end this summer as Arsenal continue to chase the young forward. The Gunners would be in a much stronger position had they kept up with the title race, but Wenger will be handed the cash to twist Schalke’s arm.
Paul Pogba – Juventus to Real Madrid
The former United youth product is wanted by several clubs across Europe, but the frontrunners are Real Madrid, whose own midfield has struggled to take the burden off Bale and Ronaldo in the wake of Sami Khedira’s absence.
Luke shaw – Southampton to Manchester United
United have been eyeing the young Saints star for some time now, and could finally make their move as David Moyes looks to reshape the squad in his own mould. However, Southampton don’t need to sell and United may not have anything to offer him at this stage.
Daniel Agger – Liverpool to Barcelona
Danish stopper Agger has found himself slightly out of favour this season with man believing he had his head turned by Barcelona’s interest earlier this season. He may get his with this summer too, as they look to make strong additions to their back line.
Ilkay Gundogan – Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United
Gundogan’s proposed move to United is looking less likely by the day as Dortmund look to open new contract talks to keep him at the club. He has missed the season through injury, but he may fancy a challenge elsewhere as Dortmund’s squad continue to break up.
Thibaut Courtois – Chelsea to Barcelona
Barcelona were still hoping to convince Victor Valdes to pen a new deal, but with the news that he will be out for seven months following ligament surgery will require them to pursue a new ‘keeper for sure. But whether Chelsea will sell still remains to be seen.
David Luiz – Chelsea to Barcelona
The Brazilian has been told that he can leave this summer and Barcelona seems to be his most likely destination following their interest in him earlier on in the season.
Edinson Cavani – Paris Saint Germain to Manchester United
Cavani has told PSG that he wants to leave and has apparently given United the green light to make a move for him. But will he miss European football next season? Only time will tell.
Mario Mandzukic – Bayern Munich to Arsenal
The Croatian will likely be edged out of the picture by Robert Lewandowski next season, and with Arsenal in desperate need of a new striker it only makes a move more likely. His agent recently flew to London for talks making the Gunners early frontrunners.
Diego Costa – Atletico Madrid to Chelsea
Mourinho wants new strikers, and he wants the best. It was unlikely that Atleti would be able to hold onto him for much longer and have reportedly told the Blues that they would be willing to accept a fee as low as £29m for the neutralised Spaniard.
