Everton Offer Arsenal Very Tempting Player Swap Deal

Emirates Stadium side could well agree to the terms offered by the Goodison Park side.

Everton are lining up a very tempting swap deal that is sure to interest Arsenal according to a report on the Football Direct News website.

The Toffees are apparently ready to accept the loss of in-form right-back Seamus Coleman, who is known to be a Gunners target, as long as they can re-sign Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta as part of any deal.

Arsene Wenger is looking for a top quality right-sided defender to replace Bacary Sagna, who looks set to leave the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires this summer, and the Arsenal manager has earmarked a move for Republic of Ireland international Coleman.

The 26 year old has been in the form of his career and a key member of Martinez’s side, who are fighting Arsenal manfully for a top four finish.

32 year old Arsenal man Arteta has been in average form of late and with just over a year to run on his current contract it’s fair to say he is a player Wenger can afford to sacrifice in his pursuit of Coleman, not least as the North London club have a raft of central midfield options.

Arteta was something of a fan favourite at Goodison Park prior to his exit from the Merseyside club back in August 2011 having spent six and a half seasons at Everton during which time he racked up 209 appearances and scored 35 goals.
