The Ten Current Premier League Players Who are Worth £50m or More

This list takes into account a player’s age, ability and market value and we elect to locate and name the ten Premier League players we feel could justify a transfer fee of £50m or above.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)

Back from injury the 23 year old had an outstanding start to the campaign and has the potential to be hugely important performer at the Emirates Stadium for years to come.

Sergio Aguero (Man City)

Etihad Stadium side paid £38m for the Argentine in July 2011 and his valuation will have significantly increased over the course of the past three seasons and Aguero is still just 25 years of age.

Luis Suarez (Liverpool)

Arguably the best performer on the planet right now and could well be worth in excess of the £85m Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale last summer. The Uruguayan is not only the leading Premier League goal-scorer he has also provided more assists than any other player.

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)

The England man’s efforts have almost been overshadowed by his strike-partner but there is no denying the form the 24 year old has displayed since moving to Anfield. 30 goals in 34 Premier League starts for Liverpool surely mean the former Chelsea man would fetch a small fortune if he were to be sold.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

Belgian is well worth £50m and indeed PSG are apparently ready to offer that exact sum for the Chelsea man, though Jose Mourinho would be insane to even entertain offers for his most effective attacking weapon.

Oscar (Chelsea)

Another Stamford Bridge creative talent and coincidentally another player PSG are keen to land, the Brazilian would surely also be worth £50m+ in today’s inflated transfer market.

Wayne Rooney (Man United)

There’s a very good reason why David Moyes was desperate to tie down the England man to a new contract and that’s the very real chance that one of Europe’s ‘Elite’ would attempt to snap up the Man United forward, who has arguably been the Old Trafford side’s most consistent performer this term.

David Silva (Man City)

Spaniard is once again one of the Premier League’s chief assist providers and a player who would certainly be targeted by Spanish giants Barcelona or Real Madrid if they felt they had any chance of convincing Man City to sell the cultured attacker.

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

Arsenal paid £42.5m for the German who’s value could well soar if he gets his form back into gear. The 25 year old started the season well and is a player Arsene Wenger will look to build his attack around in the coming seasons, hence his willingness to smash the club’s transfer record to land the former Real Madrid man.

Juan Mata (Chelsea)

Starting to get his game into gear now that he is back to being the focus of attention after being overlooked by Blues boss Jose Mourinho. Three goals and four assists to his name after 11 Premier League appearances for Man United and may well secure a prominent role in Vicente del Bosque’s 2014 World Cup squad that could well boost the 25 year old’s valuation.
