Rafael

The Brazil international was a firm favourite at right back for the past few seasons under previous Red Devils head coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, following the Scot’s sudden and unexpected departure from Old Trafford at the end of the last season, the 23-year-old has since struggled for form under Ferguson’s replacement David Moyes.

And with the word on the street being that the Scot does not fancy Rafael, the full back is set to be one of the first casualties of the massive rebuilding project that is set to take place at the Premier League champions this summer.

Javier Hernandez

The Mexico international has once again largely found himself being surplus to requirements at Old Trafford this campaign under new United head coach David Moyes, with the ace goal poacher spending the majority of the season warming the substitutes’ bench.

And as a result, the striker will definitely be leaving the Red Devils when the summer transfer window opens again for business at the start of July as he goes in search of a new challenge in his career, and a club that trusts him enough to start the 25-year-old on a regular basis up front next season, with Serie A giants Inter Milan understood to be favourites to win the player’s signature.

Robin van Persie

It has been an unhappy campaign for the Netherlands international, culminating in the striker’s season-ending knee injury that he picked up in the club’s Uefa Champions League loss to Olympiakos last month.

And with speculation having mounted in recent weeks that the player and new Red Devils boss David Moyes have not been seeing eye to eye over the Scot’s rigorous training methods and the style of football he has adopted since taking over from previous United boss Sir Alex Ferguson last summer, expect to see the 30-year-old offloaded this summer to the highest bidder.

Luis Nani

Once again, after a promising start to the season by the mercurial Portugal wide man, in which new United manager David Moyes even handed the player a contract extension to tie the 27-year-old to Old Trafford until June 2017, Nani has once again flattered to deliveer in the north west.

And with the winger having barely been seen in a United shirt at all this year, the Portuguese’s future at the Theatre of Dreams now appears very much to be over, with Nani expected to move to Inter Milan come the end of the campaign after seven years with the Premier League giants.

Alex Buttner

Despite having been handed a number of opportunities in which to impress the new man in charge at Old Trafford throughout the season, the Netherlands left back has generally failed to catch David Moyes’s eye when asked to fill in at the back for first-choice Patrice Evra.

All of which now means that even though the Scot is currently on the lookout for a new left-sided full back at the Theatre of Dreams next season to take over from the departing France international, that man will not be the 25-year-old, with Buttner instead set to be offloaded when the summer window opens on July 1.
