Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

It is well known that new Red Devils head coach David Moyes is a huge fan of the blond-haired Germany international, with the Scot having already been seen on numerous occasions so far in this campaign attending Dortmund’s home games in the Ruhr Valley to run his eye over the player.

And now following the recent revelation from the 24-year-old’s former team-mate at Dortmund and his current Germany international colleague Mario Gotze that Reus has always had his eye on a dream move to Old Trafford, expect Moyes and the Premier League champions to follow up their long-running interest by making an actual move for the German this summer.

However, the forward will not come cheap though, with it expected that United will have to fork out a whopping £30m in order to lure the youngster to the Theatre of Dreams for next season.

Eliaquim Mangala (FC Porto)

The powerful and much talked-about France international is currently one of the most sought-after centre backs plying their trade on the Continent, with United knowing that they are set to face stiff competition for the player’s signature when the summer transfer window does finally reopen for business at the start of July.

However, as well as a number of Europe’s big-name clubs, it is United’s city rivals Manchester City who are understood to pose the greatest threat to the Premier League champions’ hopes of landing the highly rated 23-year-old.

But is is also believed that manager David Moyes is willing to push the boat out  in order to lure the central defender to Old Trafford for next season as the Red Devils go in search of two new defenders to fill the void left the departures of both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand from the north west this summer.

Cesc Fabregas (FC Barcelona)

One of the longest-running transfer sagas of last summer’s transfer window was United’s long-running pursuit of the La Liga champions’ brilliant Spain international, a saga that ended with Fabregas staying put at Camp Nou rather than joining the Red Devils.

However, with rumours continuing to do the rounds about the player’s current unhappiness at Barca, with the plymaker said to in particular be unhappy about constantly getting dropped for the Catalan giants’ biggest matches of the season in favour of the less effective Neymar.

And now it is understood that having also been left out of the starting lineup for Wednesday night’s crucial Copa del Rey final against arch-rivals Real Madrid at Mestalla, Fabregas has had enough and decided to quit Catalonia at the end of the campaign, with it thought highly likely that the Spaniard’s next port of call will be Old Trafford this summer.

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

Likewise, it is also believed that the Ligue 1 champions’ Uruguay international has grown tired of life at the Parc des Princes, despite the fact that the deadly striker only moved to the French capital from Serie A outfit Napoli for a whopping 64m euros last summer.

However, with the attacker having often been shunted out on to the wing in order to accommodate club captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cavani is now expected to leave the mega-rich Parisians as soon as this current campaign draws to a close.

And it is also expected that the South American marksman will be swapping the Ligue 1 champions for the Premier League champions as United look to find a ready-made replacement for departing Netherlands international Robin van Persie at the Theatre of Dreams next season.

Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich)

The final piece on manager David Moyes’s United jigsaw is likely to revolve around the big-money capture of  Bayern Munich’s unsettled holding midfielder, with the Red Devils reportedly preparing a bumper contract worth a staggering £270,000 per week in order to entice the highly rated Germany international away from the Allianz Arena.

And the Premier League champions are said to be increasingly confident of being able to lure the midfielder to the north west this summer after it was revealed that Kroos was currently one of the worst-paid players in Bavaria.
