(Video) Premier League Goal Of The Season Contenders With ‘SAS’ Strikes for Liverpool & Arsenal Team Effort

The finest goals from the English top flight this season.

As the 2013/14 Premier League season quickly draws to a close we thought it was about time to look back at some of the brilliant goals that have been scored this term.

It is set to be one of the closest campaigns in years, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City fighting for the title, Arsenal and Everton battling for the final Champions League place and Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United likely to be competing for Europa League qualification.

At the other end of the table it is a similarly close story, with a host of teams still capable of being relegated to the Championship.

Yet for the moment we will just take a look at those strikes that have reaffirmed why we love the game.

Pajtim Kasami, FULHAM v Crystal Palace

Back when Palace were certainties to be relegated and the Cottagers were doing well, Kasami scored the pick of the four goals that the west Londoners put past their capital rivals at Selhurst Park.

Steve Sidwell also scored a great effort in this rout, but it was Kasami’s goal that really caught the eye.

Wayne Rooney, MANCHESTER UNITED v West Ham

Red Devils fans haven’t had a lot to shout about this term since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and David Moyes’ unsteady start to life at Old Trafford.

Yet in a 2-0 win at Upton Park their talismanic forward gave them something to celebrate with a superb half-volley from just inside the opposition half.

Daniel Sturridge, LIVERPOOL v West Bromwich Albion

What a season it has been for the Reds and with four matches remaining they top the table ahead of big spending Chelsea and Manchester City.

One of the main reasons for this has been the impressive scoring form of Sturridge, who has 20 league goals of which this is the best.

Luis Suarez, LIVERPOOL v Norwich City

Whilst Sturridge has been good his striker partner has been outstanding, with Suarez having netted 29 league goals in as many games already this term.

Against Norwich – a side the Uruguay international has put three hat-tricks past now – the 27-year-old scored four times, of which the third was the pick of the bunch.

Jack Wilshere, ARSENAL v Norwich

The poor Canaries seem to get the brunt of brilliant goals and back when the Gunners looked like genuine title contenders they were producing unplayable football.

Arsene Wenger had his side passing the ball like the glory days of the late 1990s and early 2000s and Wilshere finished off a superb team move at the Emirates Stadium.
