The Spain international is enduring a tough time of it at present in Catalonia after being booed by the La Liga champions’ own fans in recent weeks, a new situation that has reportedly now alerted both the Red Devils and the north London club.

Both of those two Premier League outfits are known to be desperate to lure Fabregas back to England this summer, three years after the 26-year-old first left the Gunners to join Barca.

However, despite the Spaniard having won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Fifa World Club Cup and the Uefa Super Cup during his time with the Catalan giants, it has not all been plain sailing for Fabregas on his return to his boyhood club.

“Of course it hurts to see Cesc jeered. You try to ignore it and hope it does not happen, but these situations are not comfortable,” said Andres Iniesta recently of the situation.

And now as a result, it is expected that both Premier League sides will make a move for the player this summer.
