Cech may have played his last game for Stamford Bridge club.

Veteran Mark Schwarzer will keep goal for Chelsea in Sunday’s crucial Premier League clash against Liverpool and in the Champions League semi-final second leg after number one Petr Cech was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a dislocated shoulder.

“Petr Cech’s season over. Don’t ask me technically, but season over,” Blues boss Jose Mourinho told ITV after the 0-0 first leg draw with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital.

And the injury means Cech may have already played his last ever game for Chelsea.

The London outfit are reportedly set to recall Thibaut Courtois from his loan spell at Ateltico this summer and the Belgium international, 21, has made it clear he will not return to England to be Cech’s deputy, leading to speculation Mourinho may ditch the former Rennes stopper who has been at Stamford Bridge for ten seasons.

Schwarzer, 41, will play at Anfield and against the La Liga outfit at Stamford Bridge next week.

The Australian had never played in the Champions League before tonight’s draw in the Vicente Calderon but, barring injury, will feature in the final, should Chelsea get there.
