In-form wide-man could be in line for a bumper pay rise.
Everton are ready to offer defender Seamus Coleman a new contract at Goodison Park, according to the Sunday People.
The attack-minded right-back has been in fine form for the Toffees this season, contributing six goals and two assists in 34 Premier League appearances.
Coleman’s impressive displays have not gone unnoticed and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is apparently plotting a summer move for the 25-year-old, as the Gunners prepare for life without Bacary Sagna, who is set to leave North London on a free transfer.
Everton handed Coleman a long-term contract in December 2012 and, although that deal still has over four years left to run, The People claim that the Merseyside club are keen for the Ireland international to put pen to paper on fresh terms.
Coleman, who is currently paid £30,000 per week, is rated highly by manager Roberto Martinez and the Spaniard could be willing to sanction a significant pay increase in order to fend off Arsenal’s interest.
Everton and Arsenal are currently locked in a two-way battle for fourth place and the final Champions League qualifying spot.
The Gunners can move four points clear of the Toffees, who lost 2-0 at Southampton on Saturday, by beating Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
