Tottenham Linked With Move for £25m Rated Italian International

White Hart Lane side may be priced out of move for Torino goal machine.

Tottenham have a fight on their hands in pursuit of in-form Torino striker Ciro Immobile with Borussia Dortmund ready to bid as much as £25m for the Italian according to Football Direct News.

The 24 year old is having the most prolific season of his career to date, netting 21 goals in 27 Serie A starts, and has become a much sought after commodity with Jurgen Klopp seemingly seeing the former Genoa man as an ideal replacement for Bayern Munich bound Robert Lewandowski.

Immobile won his first senior national team cap in March and could well be part of Cesare Prandelli’s 2014 World Cup finals squad and therefore his valuation may well continue to increase but clearly Tottenham have learned the hard way that merely forking out huge sums is not enough to guarantee a good goals return for your investment.

White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy spent over £55m on Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela and the pair have scored just six Premier League goals between them, four of which were from the spot, and as such may not look to spend big on Immobile, despite his current run of form.

Spurs would do well to keep hold of Emmanuel Adebayor, who has been the north London club’s only consistent striking weapon this term, with youngster Harry Kane showing some great promise in recent weeks.
