The Italy international is currently spending a six-month loan spell with Serie a champions Juventus, who the hot-headed striker joined in the January transfer window after being suspended by the Saints for head-butting team-mate Jose Fonte in a training-round bustup.

However, the Old Lady of Italian Football have now decided not to take up their option of signing Osvaldo on a permanent deal for a pre-agreed fee of £15.6m, opening the door now for Los Che to sign the 28-year-old.
