10) Liverpool
The Merseyside giants have seen their value rise by six per cent from last year, up to $691m (£407m).
9) Juventus
Not surprisingly on the back of winning three straight Serie A titles in a row, the Old Lady of Italian Football’s wealth is now set to reach a whopping $850m (£500m) when Forbes’s next set of financial results are released.
8) AC Milan
It has been a desperately disappointing season for the Rossoneri, who are currently languishing in a totally unfamiliar mid-table position in Serie A, which explains just why the club’s value has dropped by 9% to $856m(£504m).
7) Manchester City
On the back of two successive Uefa Champions League campaigns, the north-west outfit’s first ever in Europe’s premier club competition, City’s worth has soared by a whopping 25% from last year’s figure as the club continue to grow both on and off the field.
6) Chelsea
Interestingly, despite winning the Uefa Europa League last season, the west London club still saw their overall value fall by 6% to $868m (£511m).
5) Arsenal
No rise or fall for the north London club on what they were worth at this stage last year, $1.3b (£0.7b), and this despite a 17th straight qualification for the Uefa Champions League for Arsene Wenger’s men.
4) Bayern Munich
Not surprisingly given the record-breaking and trophy-laden season the Bavarian giants enjoyed last time out, with the club winning the treble of Uefa Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup, Bayern’s overall value rose by a whopping 41%.
3) Manchester United
The Red Devils remain the most valuable team in the Premier League, worth a staggering $2.8b (£1.65b), but that does actually represent a drop of 11% on last year after the champions failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1995.
2) FC Barcelona
The Catalan giants won La Liga again last season, while they have also been regulars in the latter stages of the Champions League too over the course of the past decade, which explains why their worth shot up again this year by 23% up to $3.2b (£1.89m).
1) Real Madrid
Los Blancos once again top the rich list, with the Liga giants seeing their overall value increase by 4% from last year to a whopping $3.44b (£2b), and this despite the fact the club did not win any trophies in the previous campaign.
