Midfielder has been pivotal in the Saints excellent campaign, scoring and providing assists with regularity and surely set for a spot in Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup squad.
9. Seamus Coleman (Everton)
Right sided Toffees hero has been a consistent performer, solid at the back and hugely effective in the final third.
8. Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)
Was arguably one of the best players in Europe prior to lengthy spell out injured, scored a stunner against Norwich City in the final match of the season to remind Arsenal what they were missing.
7. Sergio Aguero (Man City)
Argentine may have missed almost half the season through injury but still managed to notch up 17 goals from 20 top tier starts.
6. Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)
England man’s efforts may have been overshadowed by his strike-partner but the lethal finisher still finished the campaign as the second highest Premier League goal-scorer.
5. Wayne Rooney (Man United)
Perhaps Man United’s most consistent performer in what has proven a disastrous season the England striker grabbed 17 goals and only Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard provided more assists.
4. Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
Without the Belgian Jose Mourinho’s title challenge would have ended some months ago. Chelsea’s only really effective attacking weapon.
3. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Veteran’s slip may have handed the title to Man City but that should not cancel out the midfielders sterling efforts this term. 13 assists and 13 goals for the 33 year old are a sign that he still has a fair few seasons in the tank.
2. Yaya Toure (Man City)
Ivory Coast powerhouse has been unstoppable and the force behind Man City’s Premier League title triumph. 20 goals from the midfielder this season and a fair few crackers in among them.
1. Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
There was only really going to be one winner and that’s the Uruguayan who has been simply unplayable this term. Scaring the life out of opposition defences week in, week out. 31 goal haul all the more amazing given he missed the first five games of the season through suspension.
