Brendan Rodgers will hope to boost his summer transfer funds by cashing on some members of his playing staff whilst others are unlikely to garner big fees but are seen as very much surplus to requirements by the Northern Irish manager.

Spanish keeper Pepe Reina has impressed during his loan spell at Napoli and he will be offered to former Reds boss Rafa Benitez on a permanent basis.

Spanish striker Iago Aspas has been poor in his first campaign at the club and Rodgers is ready to cut his losses and will hope to recoup as much of the £7.7m invested in the 25 year old last June having failed to score in 14 Premier League appearances.

Surprisingly Rodgers is ready to listen to offers for injury prone Brazilian Lucas as he looks to freshen up his Liverpool midfield.

Barcelona continue to track Danish defender Daniel Agger and Rodgers is ready to sell the 28 year old after an unsteady campaign from the fan favourite.

Liverpool’s defence has been shaky to say the least and Agger hasn’t been his usual reliable best alongside Martin Skrtel and now Rodgers see Mamadou Sakho as the man to partner the Slovakian.

Liverpool are ready to make Oussama Assaidi’s loan move to Stoke City a permanent one and are unlikely to demand a big fee for the Moroccan winger whilst young Spaniard Luis Alberto has failed to make the grade and will be shipped off.

Fabio Borini has proven a hit at Sunderland and though Rodgers is known to rate the Italian he is ready to cash-in on the forward as he knows the youngster is unlikely to be happy warming the bench behind first choice strikers Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturrige.

The 23 year old scored ten goals last season and was key to helping Gus Poyet’s side perform the great escape and is certainly likely to be a player the Black Cats boss would like to keep hold of.

Jack Robinson, Martin Kelly and Conor Coady will all be made available as Rodgers prepares to cull the young talent in his squad who are yet to prove themselves worthy of regular action.

Loaned in wide-men Victor Moses and Aly Cissokho will be sent back to Chelsea and Valencia respectively with neither player impressing sufficiently to tempt Rodgers into signing them on outright deals.
