Ten Deals We are Certain Will be Completed in the Summer Transfer Window

10 transfers we believe will take place this summer.

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad to Arsenal)

By all accounts Arsenal are ready to trigger a buy-back clause that would see the Mexican return to north London and it’s a deal we can certainly see Arsene Wenger pursuing.

Such a move could cost the Gunners as little as £3.2m and that’s a price well worth paying for a player who has matured into a very effective performer having been something of a ‘show-pony’ during his previous spell at the Emirates Stadium.

Vela has netted 15 goals in 34 La Liga starts this season and only Atletico Madrid’s Koke, Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas and Real Madrid’s Angel di Maria have provided more assists than the 25 year old.

Luke Shaw (Southampton to Man United)

We are confident that the England teen will be one of a host of signings made by incoming Man United boss Louis van Gaal.

Some reports state that a £27m deal has already been agreed as Man United look to replace exit bound French veteran Patrice Evra.

Serge Aurier (Toulouse to Arsenal)

This deal has been on the cards for some time, speculation becoming rife once the Ivory Coast international was pictured wearing an Arsenal shirt, and Arsene Wenger appears very keen to bring in the Toulouse man to replace Bacary Sagna.

The French right-back seems set to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer and Saturday’s FA Cup final could well prove to be the 31 year old’s last for the north London club.

Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)

This deal is also being branded as something of a ‘Done Deal‘ with some sources claiming a £32m move will be completed just as soon as the summer transfer window re-opens.

The Brazilian born Spanish international has scored 36 goals in all competitions and could well go some way to resolving Jose Mourinho’s striking crisis.

Felipe Luis (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)

We believe the Brazilian right-back will move to Stamford Bridge to replace Ashley Cole and seemingly Jose Mourinho was impressed by the 28 year old’s efforts as he helped Atletico Madrid to dump Chelsea out of the Champions League earlier this month.

Mourinho has used Cesar Azpilicueta to replace Cole for much of the current campaign but could well have designs on moving the Spaniard to his more familiar right-sided defensive role.

Adam Lallana (Southampton to Liverpool)

Liverpool have already made a £20m bid for the in-form England man and we feel that a second offer in excess of the initial gambit will see the job done.

Brendan Rodgers would do well to land the Southampton playmaker who can act as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard and the Anfield boss would do well to seal the deal before the upcoming World Cup finals as the 25 year old’s valuation could sky-rocket if he makes an impact in Brazil.

Julian Draxler (Schalke to Arsenal)

Arsene Wenger failed in his attempt to land the German international midfielder in January but we think that the Gunners boss will move again for the 20 year old this summer.

Now that Draxler has successfully recovered from the ankle injury he sustained a the turn of the year we feel that a renewed push for his services may well be the push he needs to demand a move from the Bundesliga to the Emirates Stadium.

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City to Everton)

Roberto Martinez needs to bring in permanent attacking options and we are confident that the Spaniard’s obvious interest in the Ivory Coast international will lead to a successful raid on his former Liberty Stadium employers.

Bony has had an excellent debut season in the English top tier and will be keen to move onwards and upwards and may feel that a move to a resurgent Everton is the way to go about continuing his career progression.

David Luiz (Chelsea to Barcelona)

Another move that is already being billed as ‘done’ and one we are sure will be completed, probably before the Brazilian flies off to his represent his country at the World Cup finals.

The 26 year old is something of a bit part player at Stamford Bridge and with Barcelona having successfully seen their transfer ban suspended a move to bring in Luiz to act as a long term replacement for Carles Puyol is certainly on the cards.

Steven Caulker (Cardiff City to Liverpool)

Brendan Rodgers needs fresh defensive options and knows Caulker well from the centre-back’s loan spell at Swansea City and Cardiff City’s relegation to the Championship will almost certainly lead to the England man leaving the Welsh club.

Daniel Agger, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure all failed to consistently impress alongside Martin Skrtel during the current campaign and we feel the Anfield side will bring in the 22 year old to beef up their back-line.
