The England international arranged the trip to Miami with his friends last summer at at time when he had no idea that he would be travelling to South America with the Three Lions in June.

However, as the 26-year-old’s displays for the south coast club got better and better last season and Lallana received his first ever call up to the England national team for a friendly against Chile last November, the wide man decided to bring forward his wedding to fianceé Emily Jubb to December.

However, instead of jetting off to Florida to stay in a villa with all his mates, Lallana has instead decided to prepare for the tournament instead with the rest of his England team-mates.

“Obviously he is gutted he isn’t there with them all but he knows that he has to be on top form for Brazil and he’s going to give it his all,” said a fiend.

“Most of the lads that went have known him all his life and they’ve always supported him – so he wanted to give something back to them.”
