Who will be his big name signing this summer?
JC – He’ll go all out for Toni Kroos. United desperately need a midfielder with guile who can dictate tempo – which is going to especially help them at Old Trafford. The German will be costly, but he’s worth it.
SG – Mats Hummels.
RM – Arjen Robben.
TS – Toni Kroos. It seemed unlikely before van Gaal was appointed, but their previous relationship at Bayern Munich should sweeten the deal.
How long will he be at the club?
JC – Two seasons. Until the end of Ryan Giggs’ apprenticeship.
SG – Probably around 3-5 years. He’ll win the Champions League and bow out on a high.
RM – The full length of his three-year deal before he then hands over the reins to Ryan Giggs.
TS – With Ryan Giggs named as van Gaal’s assistant manager it looks as if United want to do a Barcelona and promote from within in a few years time, so I think it will be two years for the Dutchman at the club.
