As always the Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on developments in La Liga and here are 10 stars from Spain that could be completing a transfer to England in 2014.

Karim Benzema, Real Madrid

With Los Merengues keeping one eye on Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, the future of Benzema at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu remains in doubt.

The 26-year-old is a proven goalscorer and as such Arsene Wenger is thinking about bringing the Frenchman to Arsenal.

Diego Costa, Atletico Madrid

This deal appears to be almost certain to happen as Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has identified Costa as the man to improve the Blues’ attack.

It’s easy to see why as the 25-year-old has scored 36 goals in a season when Atletico won La Liga for the first time in 18 years and made their first ever Champions League final.

Cesc Fabregas, FC Barcelona

It may seem bizarre to fans in England that Fabregas is unwanted at Barca due to his success whilst with Arsenal, but the 27-year-old is finding life at the Nou Camp tough.

The Spain international does have to compete with Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and Xavi for a place in the starting XI and Manchester City and Manchester United are keeping an eye on developments.

Antoine Greizmann, Real Sociedad

This Frenchman started the campaign brilliantly and although stuttered later on, still scored 16 league goals despite operating from the left wing.

Still only 23-years-old Griezmann has been attracting plenty of interest from top sides and has admitted he wants to move to a “bigger” club.

Sami Khedira, Real Madrid

This German hasn’t played much this term due to being struck down with a cruciate ligament injury back in November, but still has a great reputation.

Mourinho signed Khedira for Madrid and is keen for a reunion at Stamford Bridge with the 27-year-old, although faces competition from the Gunners.

Alberto Moreno, Sevilla

English sides will face an uphill battle to sign this left-back as Madrid are extremely keen on the 21-year-old after an impressive 12 months with Sevilla.

Moreno has made Vicente del Bosque’s Spain squad for the 2014 World Cup as a result and looks to be a great talent for the future.

Ivan Rakitic, Sevilla

Alexis Sanchez, FC Barcelona

Another star in Catalonia and like Fabregas a player who has suffered because of the plethora of talent available to head coach Luis Enrique.

Sanchez has had a good year in Spain in 2013/14, but could be tempted by more regular first team football elsewhere.

Alex Song, FC Barcelona

The third and final player from Barca and in what is becoming a theme in this list someone who can’t get into the first team as much as he would like.

Song joined the Spanish giants from Arsenal in 2012 and yet could be on his way back to England just two years later.

Carlos Vela, Real Sociedad

This Mexican could be making a shock return to the Emirates Stadium due to a clause in his contract when he left north London for Spain in 2012.

Like Griezmann he has been impressing for Sociedad and scoring plenty of goals to boot, but whether Vela would want to return to a side that deemed him not good enough just two years is unknown.
