5 Big Deals We Think Arsenal Could Complete In The Summer Transfer Window

With the summer transfer window now officially open for business once again, we take a look at five deals we believe the north London club are set to complete before the start of the new campaign …

Find out who are the most valuable players in world football.

Serge Aurier (Toulouse)

The Gunners are in urgent need of a new right back for next season now that their experienced France international is set to quit the club on a lucrative Bosman-style free transfer this summer.

And the man that Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger is said to want to take on the tough job of replacing Sagna in the capital next season, reports the Metro, is the Ivory Coast international who has just been voted into the Ligue 1 Team of the Season after a fine campaign at the back for his club.

Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid)

The Daily Mirror is claiming that the north Londoners are lining up a stunning 45m euros summer swoop for the Los Blancos wide man, a player that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger actually came very close to landing in last summer’s transfer window, only for Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti to refuse to allow the Argentina international to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

Julian Draxler (Schalke 04)

The Gunners have been keeping close tabs on the highly rated young Germany international for well over a year now, with the Premier League giants even coming close to luring the midfielder to the Emirates in the recent January transfer window, only for the two clubs to fail to reach an agreement over a suitable price for the player.

But the Daily Star says that Arsenal will reignite their interest in Draxler this summer, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger even considering playing the attacking midfielder in a more advanced role in attack in the capital next season.

Mario Mandzukic (Bayern Munich)

Another forward that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to be able to land this summer is the Bundesliga champions’ experienced Croatia international, says the Independent, with the player set to quit the Allianz Arena following the arrival in Bavaria of Borussia Dortmund’s prolific striker Robert Lewandowski to play up front for Pep Guardiola’s side next season.

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

If recent reports in the Daily Star are to be believed, then the north London are all set to launch a £30m move for the Los Blancos front man, who only has a little over a year left to run on his current deal with the new Uefa Champions League winners, with the Gunners hoping to be able to land the deadly France international in a deal worth £30m.
