Arsenal And Liverpool On Alert As Five Players Could Make Transfer From The Nou Camp To Premier League

There is set to be a mass exodus from Barcelona this summer.

After their first season without silverware since 2008 there is set to be big changes at Barcelona this summer and lots has already happened at the Nou Camp.

Gerardo Martino has been replaced as head coach by Luis Enrique and both Victor Valdes and captain Carles Puyol have confirmed they are leaving the club, whilst Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been signed from Borussia Monchengladbach.

There are expected to be several more signings and exits before the 2014/15 season starts and here are five Barca players that could be on their way to the Premier League.

Dani Alves

Despite being the most expensive full-back of all time – although that could shortly be beaten by the transfer of Luke Shaw – the Catalans are thinking of offloading their Brazilian defender in favour of the younger generation.

As a master of supporting the attack and still only 30-years-old, Alves would be an attractive proposition for many sides.

Cesc Fabregas

It’s been a difficult few years for Fabregas since returning to his beloved boyhood club from Arsenal and the 27-year-old’s arrival has coincided with a downturn in fortunes for the side.

That being said the Spain international is still among the best midfielders in the world and a few English teams are keeping an eye on developments.

Alexis Sanchez

Arrived in Catalonia a year after Fabregas, but like the Spaniard Sanchez has found it difficult to truly establish himself in the starting XI and is seeking more regular first team football.

The 25-year-old had a good 12 months in 2013/14, which is why both the Gunners and Liverpool are keeping tabs.

Alex Song

Same story, different player and for Song chances in the first team are even harder to come by than they are for Fabregas and Sanchez, due to the fierce competition.

As well as the former, in central midfield Barca also have Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and Xavi as options and therefore the Cameroon international is looking into other possibilities.

Cristian Tello

Finally this forward has come off the seemingly endless conveyor belt of young talent in Catalonia, but hasn’t quite established himself.

It’s difficult to make an impact at Barca and that is why Tello may be open to the approaches from Anfield.
