(Video) Maldives Down Afghanistan With Ridiculous Penalty

Player faceplants, but gets up to score straight away.

The Maldives won the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup on Thursday, beating Afghanistan in a dramatic final.

With the scores level after 90 minutes, the game went to extra-time.

Afghanistan then took with lead thanks to Hamidullah Karimi, before the Maldives equalised through Ali Fasir.

The Maldives eventually won a penalty shootout 8-7, with the aid of a spectacular spot kick from Assad ‘Adey’ Ali.

During his run-up, Adey fell flat on his face, but he bounced straight back to his feet and placed a right-footed shot beyond stunned goalkeeper Mansur Faqiryar.

Check out the craziness below.
