10 big money deals that could become a reality during this summer’s transfer window.

Luke Shaw (Southampton to Man United)
Estimated cost: £27m – £30m

This deal is as good as done according to most sources with just the small matter of a couple of million here or there in terms of the teenager’s price-tag.

With Patrice Evra set to leave Old Trafford Man United are clearly looking for an ideal man to fill the void and in terms of a long term option to fill the role for a decade plus the Southampton man looks ideal for the job after looking mightily impressive over the past two seasons.

Louis van Gaal may be keen to have the deal done before a good showing at the World Cup potential adds more millions to his valuation.

Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)
Estimated cost: £32m

36 goals in all competitions has led to the Brazilian born Spanish international being a player Jose Mourinho wants to leave his Blues attack after his current crop of ‘goal-scorers’ failed to impress last term.

Costa has the physical presence to make an impact in the Premier League and may not be the only member of Diego Simeone’s Vicente Calderon side to move to Stamford Bridge.

Perhaps Chelsea could look to keep the cost down by offering flop forward Fernando Torres back to his former club?

Mario Mandzukic (Bayern Munich to Arsenal)
Estimated cost: £25m

The Croatian, understandably, hasn’t taken well to Pep Guardiola’s decision to bring in free agent Robert Lewandowski and after the 27 year old was dropped from Bayern Munich’s DFB Pokal final squad it became increasingly clear his Allianz Arena days are numbered.

Arsene Wenger needs strong striking options to either support overworked French Olivier Giroud or indeed replace the Gunners man and Mandzukic has been impressive over the course of two seasons at Bayern Munich and is an improvement on the somewhat static Arsenal man.

48 goals in 88 matches is a more than decent return on Bayern Munich’s £10m investment.

Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona to Man United)
Estimated cost: £35m

We can see the Spanish international making a Premier League return and having failed with two official bids for the former Arsenal man one imagines a third Man United offer is on the cards.

Louis van Gaal needs a strong central midfield option, one that can score goals and provide assists aplenty, i.e. not Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Marouane Fellaini or Shinji Kagawa…

Fabregas got some rough treatment from Nou Camp fans who appeared to blame the 27 year old for a rare trophy-less campaign, this despite the fact the World Cup winner scored 13 goals and was the club’s leading assist maker.

Javier Hernandez (Man United to Tottenham)
Estimated cost: £20m

Tottenham need a striker who knows where the back of the net is, i.e not Roberto Soldado (unless it’s a penalty) or Erik Lamela. Javier Hernandez needs first team football. This could be a match made in heaven.

If evidence was needed as to how hopeless David Moyes was as Man United boss then his decision to hand Chichrito just six Premier League starts should do the trick.

The Guadalajara born ace is a prolific forward who has never really had the chance to prove himself at Man United but has still managed to net 59 goals in 152 appearances, of which 69 were from the bench.

Adam Lallana (Southampton to Liverpool)
Estimated cost: £25-£27m

England man seems certain to leave St Mary’s and Liverpool have already made one big money offer for the England man and having brought in Rickie Lambert as a further motivating factor we think a second, slightly increased, offer will do the trick.

The 25 year old had an outstanding season last term and is the logical long term replacement for Steven Gerrard and a player who is entering the peak years of his career.

Another player who is likely to pen an emotional farewell letter to Saints fans but another player who has greatly served the south-coast side but is now ready to take that next ‘step-up’.

Julian Draxler (Schalke to Arsenal)
Estimated cost: £37m

Arsene Wenger failed in his attempt to land the German international midfielder in January but we think that the Gunners boss will move again for the 20 year old this summer.

Having been handed a big summer transfer war-chest the Arsenal boss can well afford to meet the midfielder’s reported £37m release clause.

An added incentive to move to the Emirates Stadium may come in the form of national team colleagues Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski who will no doubt spend the entire World Cup tournament telling the youngster the joys of residing in north London.

Koke (Atletico Madrid to Man United)
Estimated cost: £48m

There are few bright young talents in European football and as such Man United will have to spend big, and spend big they will, to land Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke.

The 22 year old has had a superb season at the Vicente Calderon, becoming a pivotal member of Diego Simeone’s first team set-up and earning a spot in Vicente del Bosque’s Spain squad for the 2014 World Cup finals but the locally born talent may feel he has achieved as much as he can at Atletico.

Koke made 58 appearances in all competitions last term, scoring seven goals and finishing the La Liga campaign as the second highest assist maker.

Louis van Gaal may well see Koke as a player he can re-build his midfield around and the chance to join fellow countrymen David de Gea and Juan Mata may prove very tempting though there are bound to be many sides chasing the crafty midfielder.

Alberto Moreno (Sevilla to Liverpool)
Estimated cost: £18m

Another deal that is apparently as good as done and a player who fits Brendan Rodger’s youthful transfer policy whilst addressing an area of concern in his Anfield squad.

Moreno helped his Andalusian side to a top five finish in La Liga as well as a Europa League crown, making 43 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is seemingly looking for a fresh left-back option with his current first choice Jose Enrique missing most of last term through injury.

Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund to Man United)
Estimated cost: £25m-£30m

In the same way as Luke Shaw is an ideal replacement for Patrice Evra a move for Mats Hummels could be the ideal way to help fill the void left by the departure of veteran centre-backs Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

The Hugely respected German international is arguably one of the best defenders in world football but having seen his side fall further behind domestic rivals Bayern Munich there is every chance the 25 year old may feel the time is right to leave the Westfalenstadion.

Louis van Gaal will hope to persuade Hummels to move to Old Trafford and we think he’ll succeed in that aim.
