Spanish international duo on their way to Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho is set to welcome in two top quality signings as the Blues boss looks to strengthen his Stamford Bridge squad.

The Daily Express claim that Chelsea have agreed a £30m fee for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas with the Nou Camp side moving in on a deal to sign a replacement for the former Arsenal move.

Incoming Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is closing in on a deal to bring in Croatian playmaker Ivan Rakitic who had a standout campaign in 2013/14.

Mourinho may well see 27 year old Spanish international Fabregas as a long term replacement for Frank Lampard and the attacking midfielder has plenty of Premier League experience having made over 300 appearances for the Gunners before moving back to Barcelona in the summer of 2011.

Joining Fabregas at Chelsea is Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa who has confirmed his imminent move to the west London club according to a Daily Express report.

The Brazilian born marksman was asked whether he was set to move to the Premier League side his involvement in Spain’s 2-0 win over El Salvador, to which he responded;

“Am I going to Chelsea? It looks like it,”

Costa had a superb season last term, playing a pivotal role in Diego Simeone side’s La Liga title triumph as well as their impressive run to the Champions League final.

The former Valladolid man scored 27 La Liga goals, finishing third in the standings behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and netted eight times in Champions League action.

Jose Mourinho has made a striker signing a priority following the failure of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o to regularly hit the back of the net in 2013/14.
