If the multiple transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea are to be believed, manager Jose Mourinho could have an unbelievable squad to choose from ahead of next season.

Here’s two totally different sides he could theoretically put out – with players like Tomas Kalas, Lucas Piazon, John Obi Mikel, Thorgan Hazard, Victor Moses, Fernando Torres and Marko Marin failing to even make the reserve XI!

Obviously, some of these players could well be sold when new players are signed – but barring four imminent arrivals, these 22 stars are all currently all on Chelsea’s books.

GK) Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian starred for Atletico on loan last term, proving himself to be one of the very best in the world. The Blues would be foolish not let him prove himself at Stamford Bridge after three seasons out on loan.

DR) Cesar Azpilicueta

If Felipe Luis arrives, Azpilicueta could switch to his more naturally favoured right-back spot.

DC) Gary Cahill

Chelsea’s first-choice defensive pairing of Cahill and Terry will likely remain as it is – after ending last term with the least goals conceded in the Premier League.

DC) John Terry

Chelsea’s skipper is ageing, but he proved last term that he’s more than good enough to play at the top level for a few more years yet.

DL) Felipe Luis

The Brazilian is free to sign for Chelsea now Atletico Madrid have secured his replacement Guilherme Siqueira. Luis was phenomenal last term as his side won La Liga – and would replace the departing Ashley Cole – who’s leaving on a free -in the squad.

MC) Nemanja Matic

The Serbian proved last term after arriving in January that Chelsea made a clever decision to re-sign the man they let leave in 2011. He’s very powerful, and can break up opposition play in the middle.

MC) Cesc Fabregas

The world-class Spanish midfielder looks set to complete a £30m move to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona this summer.

AMR) Willian

Willian’s technically exceptional, but works just as hard down the right flank when Chelsea are not in possession.

AMC) Oscar

At 22-years-old, Oscar already starts for the Brazilian national side in the pivotal ‘no.10’ role, which outlines his extreme talent.

AML) Eden Hazard

The Blues’ best player last term, Hazard notched 14 Premier League goals, and led Chelsea’s assist charts too.

FC) Diego Costa

The 36 goal striker has all but completed a move to Chelsea already.

GK) Petr Cech

It’s unlikely that both Cech and Courtois will stay at Chelsea, with both more than good enough to demand the no.1 jersey at virtually every club in Europe. As it stands though, they’re both on Chelsea’s books.

DR) Branislav Ivanovic

The Serbian is defensively excellent, and it almost seems absurd that if Felipe Luis arrives, he might not be an automatic starter next term.

DC) Kurt Zouma

The young Frenchman was signed back in January from St. Etienne – although there’s a chance he’ll be immediately loaned out again.

DC) Raphael Varane

David Luiz is leaving for mega money to join PSG, and the Blues could replace him with Real Madrid’s excellent 21-year-old.

DL) Ryan Bertrand

The Englishman with two caps to his name spent much of last season with Aston Villa on loan, and although he’s expected to move on this summer, no official moves have yet been made.

MC) Ramires

The Brazilian is in his country’s World Cup squad, and despite interest from Real Madrid, the Fabregas signing means he might not be able to get in Chelsea’s side next term.

MC) Thiago

A free signing of the former Chelsea midfielder has already been agreed, claim reports – after Thiago won La Liga with Atletico last season.

MC) Marco van Ginkel

The Dutchman missed nearly all of last season with an injury, but will hope a strong pre-season puts him back in the thoughts of Jose Mourinho.

AMR) Mohamed Salah

The rapid Egyptian showed glimpses of his promise in the second half of last season after arriving from FC Basel.

AML) Andre Schurrle

The German international was rarely a starter under Mourinho last season, but still managed to score eight Premier League goals in just 15 starts.

FC) Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea own the prodigal Belgian, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at West Brom and then Everton – scoring 32 top flight goals altogether. However, Samuel Eto’o is leaving on a free, and there doubts over the futures of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba too – and Lukaku has even admitted himself that he might be leaving as well.
