PSG, one of the richest clubs in world football, could well make mega moves in the transfer market once again this summer, as they look to prepare themselves for a 2014/15 Champions League challenge.

Here’s how they could line up if they secure their biggest targets.

GK) Salvatore Sirigu

By no means a household name, Italian stopper Sirigu does a very good and consistent job between the sticks for PSG. In fact, he’s the only player who started for the Parisians before their billionaire cash injection that still does now.

DR) Dani Alves

The Brazilian could well complete a move to France after his World Cup duties with Brazil, following recent comments that seemed to encourage the speculation about a transfer from Barcelona.

“Paris? I think it is a great club. And I love playing for the big clubs. That’s what I dream of,” Goal reports.

“What I want is to play for clubs that can offer me challenges. And PSG is a great club.

“There has been some talk about it, and if I do not stay at Barcelona, it [PSG] is a real alternative for me.”

DC) Thiago Silva

The world’s best central defender is currently captaining his country at this summer’s World Cup, and he’ll be heading back to France to start alongside his national team partner David Luiz next year as well!

DC) David Luiz

The 27-year-old has all but finalised a monster £50m from Chelsea, and will sign a five year contract with the Ligue 1 champions. Young Marquinhos is expected to join Barcelona when David Luiz arrives.

DL) Lucas Digne

Last term Maxwell was often preferred, but Laurent Blanc may want to use young Digne in 2014/15, as the young Frenchman continues to hone his talents. Digne is capable of providing a consistent attacking force up the left flank.

MC) Blaise Matuidi

Matuidi proved last term that he’s more than capable of providing PSG box-to-box midfield influence. He can tackle, intercept, but also drive through the centre of the park and contribute in the final third.

MC) Paul Pogba

The Frenchman would break the bank, but PSG are known admirers, and the £60m price tag Juventus have stuck on his head is within the Ligue 1 giant’s budget. If PSG move heaven and earth to secure Pogba, they’d be signing arguably the world’s best young midfielder.

MC) Marco Veratti

The incredibly talented young Italian dictates tempo in the middle, thanks to his superb technical ability and his clever array of passes. Former Newcastle United man Yohan Cabaye could similarly play this role.

AMR) Edinson Cavani

Unfortunately for Cavani, while Ibrahimovich is at the club, he’ll have to content himself with a role on PSG’s right. He can still do excellent work here, although he’d ideally like to be given the pivotal centre-forward position to himself.

AML) Antoine Griezmann

PSG are favourites to sign the impressive French international. Last term, the 23-year-old scored a mightily impressive 16 La Liga goals with Real Sociedad from the left wing, and deserves to be playing for one of Europe’s elite clubs. He could replace Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi in the XI.

FC) Zlatan Ibrahimovich

Obviously, the brilliant Swede will be leading PSG’s line next term, after collecting his second consecutive Ligue 1 Player of the Year crown last season. Ibra isn’t getting any younger, but he’s seemingly getting even better. He can score outrageous goals almost at will, and would love to push side towards Champions League glory in 2014/15.
