Inter Milan To Offer Southampton Outcast Serie A Escape Route

Italian giants keen on Saints striker.

Inter Milan could be ready to make an offer to bring unsettled Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo back to Serie A this summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Serie A side are known to be in the market for a new signing upfront this summer, with the likes of Chelsea’s Fernando Torres and Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata also being linked with the club in recent times.

However, Osvaldo could be another realistic target in this transfer window as the Italian international looks likely to be allowed an exit from Southampton, despite only joining the club from Roma last summer.

The 28-year-old had been one of the most prolific forward players in Serie A during his time at the Stadio Olimpico, but he struggled to settle in to life in the Premier League, scoring only three times before making a loan switch to Juventus for the second half of the 2013/14 campaign.

It remains to be seen if Juve will make an effort to keep Osvaldo permanently, but Inter are hoping to provide some competition for his signature as they look to make some major investments this summer following their purchase by wealthy Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir earlier in the year.
