Spain bring in Martinez and Pedro.
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has made two changes to his side for this evening’s crucial 2014 FIFA World Cup Group B match against Chile at the Maracana.
Barcelona duo Gerard Pique and Xavi drop to the bench following Friday’s embarrassing 5-1 defeat to the Netherlands.
Pique is replaced in the centre of defence by Bayern Munich’s Javi Martinez, while Pedro fills Xavi’s place in the team.
Despite a disappointing display in his last outing, Chelsea-bound forward Diego Costa survives the chop and leads Spain’s attack.
Meanwhile, Chile have made one change to the side that started their 3-1 win over Australia, with Francisco Silva coming in for Jorge Valdivia.
Spain: Casillas, Azpilicueta, Martinez, Ramos, Alba, Busquets, Alonso, Iniesta, Pedro, Costa, Silva.
Chile: Bravo, Jara, Silva, Medel, Mena, Aranguiz, Diaz, Isla, Vidal, Vargas, Sanchez.
