Exclusive: Chelsea Boss to Launch Mammoth £118m Bid for Five Star Summer Signings

Stamford Bridge side ready to splash the cash.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already secured the signing of Spanish international midfielder Cesc Fabregas but is now setting about bringing in a host of other talents to further strengthen his Stamford Bridge squad.

CaughtOffside understands that the west London side are in advanced talks to sign a number significant additions with Mourinho ready to cover a large portion of the outlay by using funds from the sales of players he feels he can afford to cash-in on.

Chelsea will wait until the completion of the 2014 World Cup finals before officially announcing the capture of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa though the deal has been completed some time ago.

The 25 year old Brazilian born Spanish international has already passed a medical and the Premier League side have met the forward’s £32m release clause.

Costa had a stand-out campaign in 2013/14, netting 36 goals in all competitions whilst helping Diego Costa’s side to a La Liga title.

Mourinho’s top priority this summer is the re-shaping of his ailing attack.

Samuel Eto’o has left the club and Demba Ba will be made available and Atletico Madrid are readying a move to re-sign Fernando Torres but will wait until the Costa deal is done and dusted before doing so.

Chelsea have also met the £21m release clause written into Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis’s contract as Mourinho looks to welcome in the 28 year old as a long term replacement for veteran Ashley Cole.

The Brazilian will be handed a big pay-rise as he looks to complete his switch to west London, a move he will hope helps his push to secure a prominent role in the national team set-up having failed to make Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad.

Luis moved to the Vicente Calderon from Deportivo La Coruna and in his four seasons in the Spanish capital he has picked up La Liga, Copa del Rey, Europa League and Super Cup crowns and may feel he has achieved as much as he can at Atletico Madrid.

Jose Mourinho will look to do business with PSG again, having sold Brazilian David Luiz to the Parc des Princes side, and will offer £15m for Argentine attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Chelsea manager has long admired the powerful forward, who can play in a central striking role or out wide, and believes the former Napoli man can add another dimension to his Blues side.

Lavezzi has failed to hit the same level of form in the French capital as he did during his Naples pomp but is an experienced attacker who may well be tempted by a fresh challenge in the Premier League.

With David Luiz leaving for PSG and with John Terry in the final throes of his career Jose Mourinho wants to bring in French centre-back Raphael Varane this summer and will mount a £25m bid for the 21 year old.

The Chelsea manager knows Varane well having signed the youngster from Lens whilst in charge at the Bernabeu and Carlo Ancelotti’s decision to use the player on a limited basis may well help in Mourinho’s push for land the hugely talented defender.

Jose Mourinho also wants to bring in some added steel to the centre of his midfield and is ready to offload John Obi Mikel in favour of a move to sign another of his former Real Madrid charges, German battler Sami Khedira.

The German missed most of last season and may be another player Ancelotti will consider selling as he looks to conduct summer transfer business of his own.

Chelsea will table a £25m offer for the former Stuttgart man, who put in a solid display in Germany’s 4-0 win over Portugal in their opening World Cup fixture.
