Exclusive: Chelsea Ready to Sell Ten In £110m Squad Clear-Out Ahead of Summer Re-Shuffle

Stamford Bridge side set for a very busy summer.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is hard at work this summer drawing up plans for a major overhaul of his Stamford Bridge squad and with moves in hand for several significant signings the west London side will look to offload as many as ten players to help fund the Premier League club’s spending spree.

CaughtOffside understands that Mourinho is keen to keep Chelsea’s spending within UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines and having sold David Luiz to PSG for the best part of £50m and handily used the funds to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas the Portuguese manager will continue to adopt a similar approach to his squad re-building plans.

Romelu Lukaku – £32m

Though the 21 year old Belgian has put in two excellent seasons out on loan at West Brom and Everton, scoring 32 goals in 66 Premier League appearances, Mourinho still doesn’t see the youngster as part of his long term plans and with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa’s move to the club imminent Chelsea will look to cash-in on Lukaku.

Chelsea have slapped a £32m price-tag on the former Anderlecht man and feel that a good showing at the World Cup will help in the pursuit of such a fee.

Branislav Ivanovic – £12m

Though the Serbian was a virtual ever present last season Jose Mourinho will look to switch Spanish international Cesar Azpilicueta to his preferred position on the right-hand side of the defence and as such is ready to listen to offer for the 30 year old with PSG known to be interested in the former Lokomotiv Moscow man.

John Obi Mikel – £10m

The Nigerian international has already seen his first team chances limited by the January arrival of Nemanja Matic and with plans afoot to bring in Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira Chelsea are ready to sell the long term Blues servant.

Obi Mikel has completed eight seasons at the Premier League club but he failed to impress last term and a move away from the west London club is likely and Turkish giants Galatasaray are said to be keen.

Petr Cech – £10m

Whilst one Belgian, Romelu Lukaku, is deemed a bankable asset it appears that Jose Mourinho is keen on welcoming back another in the form of loaned out keeper Thibaut Courtois which in turn leads Chelsea open to offers for Czech Republic international Cech.

Another long term fan favourite, Cech isn’t a player who will be happy to warm the bench and at 32 years of age a player who still has plenty of years in the tank and Chelsea will hope to make upwards of £10m from his sale.

Marko Marin – £5m

German winger was sent to Sevilla to act as something of a shop window for the pint-sized attacker and to a certain extent the move worked and a permanent move to the La Liga side is expected and such a switch is perhaps in the best interests of all concerned.

Victor Moses – £6m

The Nigerian winger was also sent out to Liverpool in order to seal a permanent transfer but didn’t impress as he would have hoped and Brendan Rodgers has no intention of signing the former Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace man on a permanent basis.

That said, at 23 years of age, Moses is still a player who will attract attention this summer and Chelsea will look to recoup at least £6m of the £9m they paid for his services back in August 2012.

Fernando Torres – £15m

Formerly a player owner Roman Abramovich wouldn’t consider selling but now the Russian billionaire is open to the possibility of making something from his sale before his value as a footballing commodity vanishes into nothingness.

Chelsea paid £50m to bring in the Spaniard from Liverpool but after three and a half seasons the Premier League side are ready to accept as little as £15m and a move back to Atletico Madrid is on the cards.

Torres has netted just 20 goals in 110 Premier League appearances.

Demba Ba – £8m

Another striker who is surplus to requirements and a player who is perhaps ready to move on after becoming something of a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge.

The Senegalese international was brought in to beef up the Chelsea attack and has been more miss than hit and there is talk of a possible return to Newcastle United.

Oriol Romeu – £6m

Arrived with something of a fanfare but the young Spaniard has failed to forge a career at Chelsea and his loan move to Valencia last term has helped to get the 22 year old’s career back on track.

Romeu is now way down Chelsea’s pecking order and a move back to La Liga seems highly likely.

Ryan Bertrand – £5m

Having played second fiddle to Ashley Cole for some time the England man must have been frustrated to see Cesar Azpilicueta oust the veteran left-back, not least as the Spaniard is a right-sided defender, and as such a permanent move is on the cards.

Bertrand enjoyed his loan move to Aston Villa and there is every chance that Villa Park boss Paul Lambert will look to make the move a permanent one.
