Man Utd Striker Robin Van Persie Supporting England For World Cup Clash

Netherlands striker Robin Van Persie says he is supporting England against Uruguay this evening.

The Dutchman was pleased to receive a tweet from Wayne Rooney congratulating him for his powerful strike against Australia – referring to him by his club nickname of Batman, in a play on words around his first name – and said he would root for his Man Utd club colleague for the Three Lions in their vital Group D clash.

Rooney is joined in the England squad by Red Devils stars Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Danny Welbeck, while Uruguay have no players from Old Trafford – making Van Persie’s decision about tonight’s game a simple one.
