Here’s five stars plying at this summer’s World Cup, including one of which they already own, who’d seemingly fit in very well at Stamford Bridge, should Jose Mourinho choose to bring them to Chelsea ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

5) Paul Pogba – France

The young Frenchman was filmed playing Football Manager with himself as part of the Chelsea side next term, and Blues fans would love it to become a reality. The young Juventus man is rated as one of the most talented young midfielders in the world, and would form a seemingly formidable trio with Nemanja Matic and the newly arriving Cesc Fabregas.

4) Diego Costa – Spain

Costa has all but sealed a £32m move to Chelsea, and is expected to confirm the deal after the World Cup. He was lethal for Atletico Madrid last term, and despite being part of Spain’s World Cup humiliation, will lead the line for the Blues next season.

3) Raphael Varane – France

The young central defender starts for his country alongside Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho, and has been part of the World Cup’s most impressive side so far. Chelsea are interested in his services, keen on bringing him to the Bridge to replace the departing David Luiz.

2) Thibaut Courtois – Belgium

The young Belgian keeper has hinted that he will likely come back to Stamford Bridge in time for next season, as has his international manager Marc Wilmots. Courtois will likely then replace stalwart stopper Petr Cech. Despite being only 22, he’s already notched up 100 career clean sheets!

1) Mario Mandzukic – Croatia

The Bayern Munich striker has scored twice for Croatia so far during the World Cup, and is definitely leaving the Bundesliga champions this summer. Chelsea likely need more than striker, so along with Diego Costa, Jose Mourinho could have sensational firepower in 2014/15 if Mandzukic does arrive. However, his old club Wolfsburg are also chasing the forward.
