Nine Summer Transfer Deals We Think Will Be Completed This Week

These transfers are just hours from being completed!

Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)

Yes it’s a deal everyone knows will happen but with Spain out of the World Cup it’s likely that the £32m move to Stamford Bridge will soon be announced.

Blues fans will hope for the Diego Costa who scored 36 goals in all competitions last season and not the Diego Costa who did little to impress in Brazil.

Luke Shaw (Southampton to Man United)

Another player set to return from the World Cup and a player who will move to Man United and the haggling over his price-tag will soon be over.

The teenager hasn’t had a chance to show his mettle with the England national team this summer and that may result in Southampton accepting £27m for his services rather than the £30m they are said to be holding out for.

Adam Lallana (Southampton to Liverpool)

Midfielder will return from Brazil and will want his future decided before he heads for a well earned summer holiday and we think a move to Liverpool will be agreed and announced very soon indeed.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to continue his summer spending and one can’t help but be convinced that his decision to sign Saints veteran Rickie Lambert was in many ways to help secure a deal for his good friend Adam Lallana.

Serge Aurier (Toulouse to Arsenal)

Bacary Sagna gone, Arsene Wenger will want to bring in a replacement as soon as possible and we think this one will be confirmed soon enough.

This deal has been on the cards for some time, speculation becoming rife once the Ivory Coast international was pictured wearing an Arsenal shirt, and Arsene Wenger appears very keen to bring in the Toulouse man to replace Bacary Sagna.

Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)

Cesc Fabregas in the bag and Jose Mourinho still has tons of the £50m banked from David Luiz’s sale to PSG to invest and we think a move to bring in the Brazilian is days away.

We believe the Brazilian right-back will move to Stamford Bridge to replace Ashley Cole and seemingly Jose Mourinho was impressed by the 28 year old’s efforts as he helped Atletico Madrid to dump Chelsea out of the Champions League earlier this month.

Mourinho has used Cesar Azpilicueta to replace Cole for much of the current campaign but could well have designs on moving the Spaniard to his more familiar right-sided defensive role.

Fernando – FC Porto to Man City

Manuel Pellegrini will soon be welcoming the Brazilian battler and of that we are sure.

Man City are ready to pay around £15m for tough tackler Fernando, this despite the fact the Premier League side have a host of defensive midfielders, who is expected to fly to England in the coming days to undergo a medical.

Pellegrini would appear to have more than enough strong tackling central midfielder with the likes of Fernandinho, Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell being just three top quality options in this regard but that won’t stop Man City spending yet more cash.

Tiago (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)

Though Jose Mourinho appears ready to allow some veterans to leave Stamford Bridge this summer we believe they will re-sign another experienced campaigner within days.

With David Luiz and Frank Lampard leaving Stamford Bridge Jose Mourinho will opt for a dirt cheap way to strengthen his midfield options, a free transfer move for a proven talent he knows very well, Tiago.

The 33 year old Portuguese international is out of contract and ready to return to Stamford Bridge after helping his Vicente Calderon side to the La Liga title and a Champions League final this season.

Alberto Moreno – Sevilla to Liverpool

Another imminent Liverpool capture.

Sevilla are happy to sell Moreno but only at the right price but the difference between the two club’s valuations is manageable and a move will be agreed soon.

Brendan Rodgers is finding out this summer that having Champions League football to offer prospective top notch signings is a great carrot to negotiations.

The 21 year old is set to pen a five year deal and is set for an imminent medical as Brendan Rodgers looks to secure his third signing of the summer.

The Anfield boss has already brought in Rickie Lambert from Southampton in a £4m deal as well as Bayer Leverkusen youngster Emre Can, in a move that will cost the Merseyside outfit just under £10m.

Mario Manduzkic (Bayern Munich to Chelsea)

Perhaps the longest shot of the players we feel will move imminently but we do feel there is a fair chance that Jose Mourinho will take the chance to sign not one, but two, strikers this summer.

The Croatian is looking for a new club having seen the upcoming arrival of Robert Lewandowski as something of a death knell to his Allianz Arena career and we are fairly certain he is on his way to Stamford Bridge.
