By the time Chelsea take the field for the 2014/15 season, it looks like they’ll have a pretty ludicrously impressive set of players from which Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho can choose from.

As well as one world-class midfielder who has already signed, three more players look set to sign at Stamford Bridge – taking the likely summer spend up to a whopping £93m.

Here’s who is lined up…

4) Cesc Fabregas – £27m (Signed)

The brilliant Spanish midfielder has already confirmed his transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea. The Blues are getting a player of true class and guile in the middle of the park. Alongside the fact he can create chances practically at will, Fabregas has Premier League experience because of his time at Arsenal, and can pitch in with goals himself as well.

3) Diego Costa – Atletico Madrid – £32m (Transfer likely)

If reports are to be believed, Chelsea have already completed a mammoth £32m deal for the man who scored 36 goals in all competitions for Atletico Madrid last term. Granted, his World Cup performances have not been especially outstanding, but he proved last season that he has the physicality to perform in the Premier League.

2) Filipe Luis – Atletico Madrid – £19m (Transfer Likely)

Atletico Madrid have already signed the Brazilian’s replacement, so a transfer to Stamford Bridge seems likely. With Ashley Cole leaving on a free transfer, Filipe Luis’s imminent arrival would strengthen Chelsea’s defensive options in that position, and enable Cesar Azpilicueta to potentially move to the right of defence instead.

1) Toni Kroos – Bayern Munich – £15m (Transfer rumoured)

The Blues are ready to offer the sensational German playmaker a wage of around £125,000 per week, reports the Metro. His mooted fee is a bargain £15m, because of the fact his contract runs out at the end of next season. Chelsea would have to beat Real Madrid and Barcelona to his signature, but a midfield trio of Fabregas, Nemanja Matic and Kroos is frightening.
