It’s the final Group E match of the 2014 World Cup for these two sides, with France having already confirmed their place in the knockout phase bar a mathematical miracle and Ecuador having all to play for.

Having won both of their matches so far and scoring eight goals in the process, the French are almost guaranteed top spot in the group and have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament so far.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has netted three goals already, but there have been strong performances throughout the side and manager Didier Deschamps may use this privileged opportunity to rotate his team.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye is suspended for the game, whilst Mamadou Sakho of Liverpool is carrying a slight thigh injury and may not be risked as a result.

For the Ecuadorians, they know that with Switzerland’s poorer goal difference following their 5-2 defeat to Les Bleus, victory in this clash would see them more than likely progress to the last-16 along with Deschamps’ men.

They are in good form having beaten Honduras in their last match and top-scorer Enner Valencia has matched Benzema’s goal tally so far with three strikes of his own.
