Manchester United winger Nani is considering leaving Old Trafford, having only made seven starts for the club in the Premier League last term, reports the Mirror.

As a result, Arsenal have been mentioned as potential suitors, but will likely have to battle Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan for his services if they’re serious about bringing him to the Emirates.

“I’m a United player but there has been some interest on my behalf,” the winger told A Bola.

“I will evaluate it and decide what is the most advantageous for me.”

Nani arrived at United in 2007 for €25.5m, when he was 20-years-old and rated as one of the most exciting young wingers in the whole of Europe.

However, despite enjoying excellent individual seasons in 2010/11 and 2011/12, he has since failed to develop his potential, and is arguably surplus to requirements with the Red Devils now.

While his dribbling and pace are key strengths, his rash decision making in the final third often lets him down, as does his apparent refusal to track back and contribute defensively.

Arsenal though badly need pace in the side, and Nani could be revitalised if United were to sanction a move to their Premier League rivals.

On the left wing, the Portuguese international would provide an exciting runner for the mesmeric Mesut Ozil to feed intricate through-balls to. Perhaps his attitude would improve in new surroundings too, although Arsenal fans are unlikely to be overly excited about Nani’s potential arrival.
