20 Massive Transfers That Could Be Completed In the Summer Window And Our Analysis Of Potential Deals

The Summer transfer window has already started with a bang with some big deals having already been struck, here are twenty more that could become a reality.

Player: Adam Lallana
From: Southampton
To: Liverpool
Estimated Fee: £25m
Chances of deal happening: 10/10

A deal has been agreed, a medical has been passed, so this is pretty much in the bag, or so the media would have us believe. Well we believe pretty much everything we read but even if didn’t we’d put money on this deal coming to fruition. The Southampton man will add quality to the Liverpool midfield and Lallana is probably seen as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard.

Player: Serge Aurier
From: Toulouse
To: Arsenal
Estimated Fee: £10m
Chances of deal happening: 9/10

Arsenal have been tracking the Ivory Coast for months now and the youngster has long been considered a long term replacement for Bacary Sagna. Well Arsene Wenger failed to persuade the Frenchman to sign a new contract, he’s moved onto sit on the Man City bench whilst earning a fortune, so time for the Gunners to strike.

Player: Dejan Lovren
From: Southampton
To: Liverpol
Estimated Fee: £15m
Chances of deal happening: 7/10

Fairly sure the Croatian has his choice of either Tottenham or Liverpool moves and though a move to White Hart Lane leads to a swift reuniting with his former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino a move to Anfield secures Champions League action.

Player: Paul Pogba
From: Juventus
To: Chelsea
Estimated Fee: £60m
Chances of deal happening: 4/10

There is a school of thought that Juventus will be unable to help themselves if a massive offer comes in for French international Pogba but it’s hard to understand that logic. The Turin side rules the roost in Italy and if they want to compete for Champions League honours then they can’t afford to lose players of real quality, such as the young midfielder, so we think Antonio Conte will hold firm on this one.

Player: Esteban Cambiasso
From: Inter Milan
To: Tottenham
Estimated Fee: Free
Chances of deal happening: 8/10

Veteran Argentine midfielder has been told he won’t be handed a new San Siro contract so is free to pursue a fresh challenge a move to White Hart Lane is reportedly an option and one we can see the 33 year old pursuing.

Player: Xherdan Shaqiri
From: Bayern Munich
To: Liverpool
Estimated Fee: £15m
Chances of deal happening: 8/10

Swiss international has impressed at the World Cup and feels unwanted under Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena and a move to Anfield is said to interest the Bayern Munich man. We feel it’s a move that Liverpool can secure having broken back into the Champions League picture.

Player: Arturo Vidal
From: Juventus
To: Arsenal
Estimated Fee: £44m
Chances of deal happening: 2/10

It’s a move that’s got Arsenal fans purring but just how likely is it? Well not very likely to be honest. Apart from anything else one wonders if the north London side needs to spend big on another creative midfielder, the one area of Arsene Wenger’s squad that is seemingly overstocked with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla

Player: Ben Davies
From: Swansea City
To: Tottenham
Estimated Fee: £8m
Chances of deal happening: 7/10

Welsh left-back could be seen as the cost effective option to pursue in order to resolve something of a problem area in the White Hart Lane squad, especially as chairman Daniel Levy may not be keen to be quite so extravagant with the level of his spending this summer.

Player: Divvock Origi
From: Lille
To: Liverpool
Estimated Fee: £9m
Chances of deal happening: 7/10

Some sources claim this deal is almost complete and a move for the Belgian certainly fits Brendan Rodgers’ youthful transfer policy though one imagines the Anfield side would look to sell either, or both, Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini to help may way for the teenager.

Player: Mario Mandzukic
From: Bayern Munich
To: Chelsea
Estimated Fee: £25m
Chances of deal happening: 6/10

Chelsea need fresh striking options and such was the poor showing of the club’s attackers last term that the addition of just Diego Costa may not suffice. A move for Croatian Mandzukic is therefore a distinct possibility though the former Wolfsburg man may look to remain in the Bundesliga.

Player: Fernando
From: FC Porto
To: Man City
Estimated Fee: £12m
Chances of deal happening: 10/10

Why have three defensive midfield options when you can have four? Manuel Pellegrini seems very likely to secure Brazilian battler Fernando and will then have to work out how to play Fernando, Fernandinho, Jack Rodwell and Javi Garcia in the same XI.

Player: Stefan de Vrij
From: Feyenoord
To: Man United
Estimated Fee: £15m
Chances of deal happening: 7/10

Impressive young defender that Louis van Gaal knows well, hence his being linked with the Feyenoord man. Man United need fresh options having opted to allow both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand to leave and de Vrij seems a solid player with the potential to grow into the role.

Player: Mario Balotelli
From: AC Milan
To: Arsenal
Estimated Fee: £25m
Chances of deal happening: 4/10

A much talked about move and one that most Gunners fans would love to see happen but one wonders if Arsene Wenger is willing to take the calculated risk of bringing in the supposedly troubled forward. Clearly there is no issue in relation to his goal return but could be a disruptive influence at any club willing to take a chance on the Italian.

Player: Memphis Depay
From: PSV Eindhove
To: Man United
Estimated Fee: £17m
Chances of deal happening: 3/10

Yes the ‘Dutch Cristano Ronaldo’ has the potential to be a big star, yes Man United could do with fresh wide-attacking options, but we just don’t see this one happening. Another season of Eredivisie experience may be needed before the youngster earns that ‘big’ move up.

Player: Alexis Sanchez
From: Barcelona
To: Arsenal
Estimated Fee: £32m
Chances of deal happening: 3/10

From all the talk of a possible exit you’d think that the Chilean had a bad season at Barcelona last term. Incoming boss Luis Enrique would do well to keep hold of the 25 year old, not least as his good form continued into the World Cup. A move to Arsenal seems unlikely to us.

Player: Lazar Markovic
From: Benfica
To: Liverpool
Estimated Fee: £25m
Chances of deal happening: 3/10

The sheer weight of players who have already signed for Liverpool, or are likely to do so, means that some deals just can’t be done and we think this is one such deal. Though it would be great to see a player in the Premier League named Lazar we just don’t see Rodgers forking out the kind of money Benfica want for the Serbian.

Player: Luis Suarez
From: Liverpool
To: Barcelona
Estimated Fee: £70m
Chances of deal happening: 7/10

Frankly this deal seemed fairly plausible before the Uruguayan decided to bite another player and now an Anfield exit seems all the more likely. Liverpool would do well to give up on the striker after yet another transgression and it’s basically down to a straight race between two La Liga giants.

Player: Luis Suarez
From: Liverpool
To: Real Madrid
Estimated Fee: £70m
Chances of deal happening: 9/10

Your eyes are not deceiving you. Yes it’s Luis Suarez again but it’s a deal that we feel is far more likely as Real Madrid appear the team with the funds to stump up the requisite cash to convince Liverpool to part with their most prized asset. The Merseyside outfit appear unwilling to accept cash plus player bids and as such the Bernabeu side, who have twice broken the world transfer record in the past five years, are the side who have no qualms about splashing the cash.

Player: Gareth Barry
From: Free Agent
To: Everton
Estimated Fee: Free
Chances of deal happening: 10/10

We are fairly certain that the England veteran will sign a contract with the Goodison Park side having impressed greatly during his loan spell at the club last term. Such a move will work well for Robert Martinez as he seeks to strengthen his squad after a strong campaign in 2013/14.

Player: Diego Costa
From: Atletico Madrid
To: Chelsea
Estimated Fee: £32m
Chances of deal happening: 10/10

This is as much of a done deal as you can imagine. All sides have pretty much confirmed the Brazilian born Spanish international is on his way to Stamford Bridge though Blues fans will hope to see a player more befitting the talent who netted 36 goals in a superb season with Atletico Madrid than the player who simply did not ‘turn up’ for the World Cup.
