Argentina captain Lionel Messi provided an 118th-minute assist for Angel di Maria as his nation secured a 1-0 win over Switzerland to reach the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.
Among the 63,255 in attendance at the Arena Corinthians were Messi’s girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo and 20-month-old son Thiago.
Both wore replica Argentina shirts and both seemed to be having a pretty good time, despite understandable nerves.
