The eight World Cup quarter-finalists are made up with players from a plethora of top European clubs, but one side has more representatives in Brazil right now than any other.

Here’s the top 10, with the players left also mentioned…

=5) Real Madrid- 5 players

Real Madrid’s Spaniards are all of course out, as is Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, but South American pair Angel di Maria and Marcelo are competing for Argentina and Brazil respectively, and German anchorman Sami Khedira is getting ready to take on France – who have Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema in their ranks.

=5) Napoli- 5 players

Argentine Gonzalo Higuain is the highest profile of the five, but his club and international teammate Federico Fernandez also features. Both will take on Belgium’s Dries Mertens in the quarters, while Zapata and Zuniga play for Colombia.

Spurs’ keeper Hugo Lloris captains France, and Belgian trio Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and Nacer Chadli scraped past the USA in the Last 16. Paulinho is expecting to start Brazil’s match verses Colombia in the quarters too.

Sergio Aguero is still ‘in’ the World Cup with Argentina, although his tournament is over due to injury. His teammate Pablo Zabaleta is still playing though, as is Brazilian anchorman Fernandinho, Belgium captain Vincent Kompany and new signing Bacary Sagna.

The Dutch club has a number of talented Dutchman in the Netherlands squad, including a number of Manchester United targets, such as Jordy Clasi, Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi.

PSG’s Frenchman include Digne, Matuidi and Cabaye, while new signing David Luiz partners Brazilian captain Thiago Silva for the hosts. Lavezzi is starting for Argentina now Aguero’s injured.

=3) Chelsea- 6 players

Oscar, Willian and Ramires all play for Brazil, while Belgium’s best player is the brilliant Eden Hazard. Andre Schurrle and Romelu Lukaku play for Germany and Belgium respectively.

2) Arsenal- 7 players

France’s Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud are getting ready to take on Germany’s Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski on Friday – and all five player for the Gunners. Belgium’s Thomas Vermaelen and Costa Rica’s Joel Campbell are also on the Gunners’ books.

1) Bayern Munich – 10 players

Bayern have a plethora of German stars left at the World Cup, including the likes of Thomas Muller, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng and Mario Goetza. Dutchman Arjen Robben has also excelled so far, as has Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, who struggles for game time at the Allianz.
