Real Madrid are apparently very interested in three of the biggest stars from this summer’s World Cup, reports Spanish publication AS.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men want Costa Rican keeper Keylor Navas, German pass-master Toni Kroos and Colombian sensation James Rodriguez.

If they snare their targets, some of the current squad could no longer be needed – and here are five top players that could be available to some of the bigger clubs in Europe.

5) Sami Khedira

The German midfielder was injured for much of  last season, and with his international teammate Toni Kroos potentially joining, there may not be any room for him in Ancelotti’s line-up. Understandably, Khedira won’t like this, and could be lured by a potential £20m offer from Arsenal.

4) Iker Casillas

The legendary keeper couldn’t get in Real Madrid’s La Liga team last season, and with Navas potentially signing, it could be the end of his stint with the Spanish giants. He had a miserable World Cup too, and as sad as it to see one of the game’s greats fall from his pedestal, Casillas’s time at the top is seemingly fading.

3) Isco

Isco’s talent is virtually unmeasurable, but with James Rodriguez potentially signing, his path to the first-team could be further blocked. Last season he struggled for game time with the dynamic front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema dominating proceedings – meaning Isco will fall further down the pecking order if another attacking midfielder is signed.

2) Angel di Maria

The Argentine is undeniably a superb player, but he had to content himself with a central midfield role last season because of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo. With Kroos arriving, and Ancelotti rating Luka Modric and Xabi Alonso so highly – di Maria could leave – with PSG the hot favourites for his signature.

1) Alvaro Morata

Another player who will only fall down the pecking order if attacking minded players are signed is the prodigal Spanish forward Morata. Ancelotti has already claimed that he’ll be allowed to leave this summer, and German side Wolfsburg have already lodged a £15.9m bid.
