Revealed: Real Madrid Want Five New Galaticos With Colombian James Rodriguez & Liverpool Youngster Top Bernabeu Targets

Bernabeu side look to bring in multiple big signings.

Real Madrid have been linked with a host of potential big money signings with president Floretino Perez seemingly keen to spend big this summer having seen his Bernabeu side slip to a third place finish in La Liga in 2013/14.

Here are five players who could well be the next breed of ‘Galaticos’.

James Rodriguez (AS Monaco)

Colombian has impressed at the World Cup finals and is now very high up on Real Madrid’s wish-list with Florentino Perez keen to freshen up his Bernabeu squad with youthful additions.

The former FC Porto man had an excellent first season at AS Monaco, finishing the campaign as the top assist maker in Ligue 1, but a big money offer may tempt the attacker to push for a Stade Louis II exit perhaps mindful that his long term ambitions may not be realised at the principality club.

The 22 year old already has almost 150 top level European appearances to his name and stylistically fits the Real Madrid footballing model to a tee.

The next Cristiano Ronaldo perhaps?

Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich)

German contract rebel is said to be very close to securing a move to the Spanish capital and the midfield schemer may be seen as a long term replacement for veteran Xabi Alonso.

The 24 year old set-piece specialist has a year to run on his current Allianz Arena deal and with his demands for financial parity with the likes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery seemingly falling on deaf ears a move to Real Madrid does seem very likely.

Kroos has the tenacity of an attacking midfielder, able to pull the strings in the centre of the park and adept at pulling off a killer pass, but is also capable of holding firm in the tackle and is very much the complete midfield package.

Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

Injured forward has been heavily linked with an AS Monaco exit less than a year since moving to the Ligue 1 side and the Colombian may be seen by Carlo Ancelotti as preferable to Frenchman Karim Benzema as the club’s central striking option.

Falcao has scored goals wherever he’s pitched up, netting an astonishing 142 goals over the past four seasons, first scoring at will with FC Porto before impressing at Atletico Madrid.

The lethal finisher bagged 11 goals for AS Monaco before suffering a long term injury and his La Liga experience could help secure a return to the Spanish capital.

Paul Pogba (Juventus)

Arguably the most talented youngster in world football right now and a player who would cost a huge sum, with Juventus’s asking price said to be in the region of £60m, the rangy midfielder may well be tempted to move to Real Madrid this summer.

The former Man United man has played a pivotal role in Antonio Conte’s side over the past two seasons but Juventus’s inability to ‘crack’ the Champions League may lead Pogba to consider a move to a side more capable of doing so.

Pogba is an excellent box to box performer though his talents are perhaps in the opposition half are perhaps his best asset the 21 year old is also strong in the tackle when necessary.

Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Teenage winger is apparently a Real Madrid target though he is surely a player the Anfield side would not look to sell any time soon.

The 19 year old matured into a very effective attacking option last term and is a player with boundless potential who is the hottest prospect in English football and a player who is enjoying life under Brendan Rodgers, a manager who is proving adept at blooding young talents.
