Exclusive: Arsenal Have Deals In Place to Sign £67m Quarter Within 48 Hours

Four top quality players set to make Emirates Stadium moves.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is closing in on a number of big deals that he hopes to have completed within a matter of days as he sets about preparing his squad for pre-season activity.

CaughtOffside understands that the north London side have deals in place to sign a quartet of talents with medicals penciled in and personal terms all but agreed and a combined fee of £67m being invested by the Emirates Stadium outfit.

Seemingly first to arrive will be Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez with the Chilean said to have already agreed personal terms on a five year contract that will see the 25 year old net £150k a week, making him the club’s second highest earner behind German international Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal have met Barcelona’s £32m asking price and Sanchez has indicated that he wants to join the Premier League side over reported interest from Juventus.

Nou Camp boss Luis Enrique is keen to complete the sale in a speedy fashion so he can use the money from the sale to help part-fund a massive bid for disgraced Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Sanchez had his most successful club season to date last term, the former Udinese man netting 19 goals in La Liga alone before further impressing Wenger, who has been in Brazil working as a pundit for French TV throughout the World Cup finals.

It appears that bringing in fresh attacking talent was uppermost in Wenger’s summer plans and his Arsenal strike-force may well look decidedly different come the start of the 2014/15 campaign with Dane Nicklas Bendtner having been released and German Lukas Podolski set for an exit.

Youngster Yaya Sanogo will be loaned out to a Premier League side to garner some much needed experience whilst Wenger is ready to usher Costa Rican Joel Campbell into his first team squad.

Arsenal are also ready to bring in long term target Loic Remy with QPR said to have received an £8m bid from the north London side, an offer that triggers the 27 year old’s release clause.

Whilst other sides may also meet the asking price the former Marseille man is keen to make the move to the Emirates Stadium after a successful season on loan at Newcastle United provided Wenger with evidence of the French international’s ability to make an impact at Premier League level.

Remy netted 14 goals in 24 Premier League starts, form that resulted in a return to the national team set-up and a spot in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad.

Arsenal are still to agree personal terms with Remy though this is thought to be little more than a formality.

Another Frenchman set to join Arsenal comes in the form of Newcastle United right-back Mathieu Debuchy who has all but confirmed his imminent arrival at the Emirates Stadium.

The 28 year old has enjoyed 18 months at St James’ Park and will be brought in to replace veteran Bacary Sagna, who turned down the offer of a new Gunners contract in favour of a move to Man City.

Debuchy successfully pipped Sagna to the right-back berth in the French national team set-up so is arguably more than capable of filling the void left by the long serving Arsenal fan favourite.

Arsenal will pay around £11m for the former Lille man who was keen to leave Newcastle United in pursuit of Champions League action.

The fourth deal in line for completion will see Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender move to Arsenal this summer with a fee of around £22m.

The 25 year old narrowly missed out on a spot in Joachim Low’s 2014 World Cup squad but is nonetheless considered one of the best central midfielders in the Bundesliga.

Bender is considered a long term replacement for veteran Mikel Arteta, with the Spaniard having just a year to run on a contract that may well not be up for renewal after a fairly average campaign last term.

The rangy midfielder will be handed a significant pay-rise and further motivation to complete a move to the Premier League side may well be derived from the fact that national team colleagues Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski are present in Wenger’s Arsenal squad.

Bender moved to the BayArena back in 2009 and is thought to be ready for a fresh challenge.
