Tottenham will hijack Liverpool’s move for Origi
The Daily Mirror are reporting that Liverpool target Divock Origi, who was thought to be close to completing his move to Anfield, has been the subject of a late rival bid from Tottenham.
Origi, 19, impressed for Belgium at this summer’s World Cup – starting in both his country’s knockout round games and netting the winner in the 1-0 group stage victory over Russia.
Liverpool were thought to be close to sealing a deal worth around £10 m, but Tottenham’s late interest could potentially set-up a bidding war over the youngster, who currently plays for French side Lille.
The Reds will sell Lucas to fund their signing of Dejan Lovren
Liverpool remain keen on Southampton centre-back Dejan Lovren, despite the Saints £25 m asking price.
The Daily Express have revealed that the Reds are prepared to sell central midfielder Lucas to either Napoli or Inter Milan in order to fund the move.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers has already signed two Southampton players this summer – with striker Rickie Lambert and midfielder Adam Lallana making the move from St Mary’s.
Markovic is due in Merseyside in the next 48 hours
Lazar Markovic is set to complete his move to Anfield, with the Reds paying Benfica £19.8 m for his services, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Serbian winger is due to be in England within the next 48 hours to put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal.
Markovic, 20,will first fly in for a medical after Liverpool met the player’s buy-out clause.

American World Cup full-back DeAndre Yedlin has been reportedly inundated with offers following his excellent performances at this summer’s tournament.
Yedlin, who currently plays for MLS side Seattle Sounders, has been linked with both Liverpool and Roma, according to recent reports in the Guardian.
The 20-year-old defender only made his debut for his country earlier this year, but has already earned seven caps after an excellent first season with his club side, which saw him score three times in 37 appearances.

Yaya Toure has been linked with a shock move to Liverpool, after growing unhappy with life at Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Daily Express made the extraordinary claim after revealing that Liverpool, Chelsea and PSG have been keeping tabs on the Ivorian, who is seemingly set on a move this summer.
Toure has publicly criticised City in recent weeks, firstly alleging that the Citizens failed to acknowledge his birthday and then claiming they denied him an opportunity to spend time with his dying brother.
