Evra agrees to move to Juventus
Patrice Evra is closing in on a £2 m move to Juventus, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The French full-back only signed a new contract at Old Trafford at the end of last season, but now looks set to depart following the arrival of Luke Shaw from Southampton.
His potential move to the Italian giants could also help United tie up a move for prime target Arturo Vidal, with the Manchester-club likely to grab any opportunity to put themselves on good terms with a team they hope to do further business with this summer.
United target Rodriguez as replacement
The Daily Mirror believe that United will target Swizz left-back Ricardo Rodriguez to fill the void left by Evra’s departure.
Rodriguez, 21, current plays for German side Wolfsburg, and impressed at the World Cup – setting up both his team’s goals in the 2-1 win over Ecuador.
He scored five goals and made nine assists for his club side last season, and would provide strong competition for Luke Shaw.
Van Gaal will battle Valencia for Enzo Perez
The Daily Mirror are also reporting that United are poised to rival Valencia in their bid for Argentine midfielder Enzo Perez.
Valencia have made a £20 m move for the World Cup star, but the rebuilding Reds are pondering a last-gasp intervention.
The 28-year-old recently signed a new four-year deal at the Portuguese side after an impressive season, and has also impressed Old Trafford scouts who are on the hunt for more midfield targets.
£56 m recquired for Di Maria
Manchester United will have to pay a stunning £56 m to sign Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, according to reports in the Daily Express.
The versatile playmaker, capable of playing out-wide or through the centre, is valued highly at the Santiago Bernabeu, but former Chelsea and AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is willing to let him depart for a large fee as the Champions League winners chase Monaco and Colombia star James Rodriguez.
United are determined to bring Di Maria to Old Trafford this summer and are reportedly preparing a £40million bid for his services.
Vidal Transfer Update
United are believed to be locked in talks with Juventus over their move for Arturo Vidal, with Nani expected to be part of the deal that brings the 27-year-old Chilean to Old Trafford.
The Daily Express are reporting that Juve’ are now ready to accept a £32 m bid, following their imminent signing of Patrice Evra.
Bayern Munich are also keen on a move for Vidal, with the Italian giants having accepted that one of Vidal and fellow star midfielder Paul Pogba will be leaving Turin this summer.
